Will try to use language that the mods won't delete ....but to compare Brian Dozier to Harmon Killebrew might be the most....inaccurate.... things I've read on this site.
I think most posters are vastly over rating Doziers value. Obviously we don't know what's being offered but I think keeping Dozier has very little upside for the Twins.
This. Guys get filtered out at every level so it's important to have plenty in the pipeline. Of the 4 mentioned odds are that two end up being MLB regulars.
I've been saying all along that they need to target elite pitching and nothing else. We can patch holes in the lineup and you can always find third starters.
I don't buy the premise that it's understandable they haven't done anything because they are getting settled. You can study the Dozier situation for an hour and know he has to go. Hopefully they are just holding out for a better deal.
I think one of the great misunderstandings of fandom is the idea that all prospects are the same or should develop on a certain path. Each guy is unique and really have to be considered individually.
There are no secrets to building a winning team. All teams try to pursue all avenues to improve. It all boils down to execution, making good decisions and some luck.
