    Yep. He’s been told to protect himself. Neither of us know his physical condition so neither of us should present his physical status as fact.

    Hear hear. Some of the stuff that gets stated as fact amazes me. The latest is several are posting that Lewis is playing hurt. I have not read from one credible source this is the case. Rather somebody on TD posts it as fact and now many are repeating.

    If Kiriloff played for another team what would you give up to acquire him in trade?

    Put me in the camp that says managers aren’t as important as most people think. I also think Rocco has far less autonomy than prior managers. The FO has a certain way they want the games to be managed regardless if it’s Rocco or a new guy. There are things I really dislike about how games are managed but my guess is most of it is coming from the FO. I will say Rocco seems to run a good clubhouse in that we don’t read about strife and his clubs seem to bounce back after tough losses. On the flip side his teams are poor at fundamentals and that goes back to the beginning of his tenure. Again I don’t know how much of that is on him or the organization. I hate the idea that they just plug guys into spots as if they don’t care about defense. The early game pinch hitting is something that I disagree with but I believe that is being dictated by the FO. So I guess I’m saying there is a lot I disagree with but really have no idea who is actually responsible for it.

    I e been frustrated the last couple of years about the Twins poor fundamentals. I have stated that they give away a game a week due to poor fundamental play. Unbelievably it’s gotten worse in the last month.

    Permit me to add on one more factor. If the Twins pinch hitting philosophy was more traditional this problem would largely go away because it would be one at bat late in the game. With the Twins philosophy the “I can only hit lefties” right handed bat ends up playing up to half the game.

    My original comment stated if he is on the MLB roster next year.

    I’m willing to pencil in Wallner for RF next year. I’m not worried about the strikeouts as long as he obliterates the ball when making contact. You can’t have many guys with his profile but one or two is not a problem

    Regardless of payroll the FO can easily do better than a will be 29 year old AAAA player. If they can’t they shouldn’t be in a MLB front office.

    If Helman ends up on this roster next year the FO should be fired.

    Man the Rays can produce good young players. I was worried that the young starters were going to be a problem. Not so - this lineup needs a re make in the off season. I’m so done with “positional flexibility “. They need to start finding positions that guys are actually good at.

    I am not a big Julien fan but the look of joy on his face after that hit was great. Happy he gets something good happening to him.

    Why would you move Festa to the bullpen? His rotation spot would go to a worse pitcher. He’s also not pitched out of the pen. The premise makes no sense.

    Festa deserved better. Brooks good play gets canceled out by two poor plays.
