    first off aint no free agent of quality coming to twinkietown unless ryan makes a bold move first..if the twins traded for shields or johnson , or better yet both, then targeted anibal sanchez ,even to the point of over paying him we have the making of a very decent rotation ,why target sanchez? well we take away from the tigers and add to the twins a two fold gain...

    and what color is the sky in your world?, even if the 1 player away was babe ruth and he pitched every 4th day , we still have too many holes..and which quality reliever did we aquire? A few pieces is not one. Reread if you have the ability to the comment about resigning Baker and trading for a pitcher. In case you can't figure it out, Brandon thinks Roeneke is a quality pitcher. A slightly positive WAR makes him better than half the pitchers the Twins threw out there for the 4-5 man out of the bullpen. sign baker trade for a starter and with the addition of 1 more above average pitcher....this is the 1 pitcher i was speaking of ,as for roenicke, me thinks his whip will catch up to him sooner then later...

    but there payroll went down 18.4 from 2011 to 2012 already,and twins llc claimed to have earned 26 million in profit while some have speculated they actually earned closer to 60 million... just jipppy squeezing more from the team ,same old ,same old...thanks for the new stadium folks now watch the worst team in the a.l. while i count my profits

    well if you did go 7 years you would want a moral clause to excape the contract , and a drug and alcohol testing on a regular basis,

    personally i dont think straddeling the fence like the twins do is the answer , it olny gives you a case of blue balls, why spend 100 million to be the 2nd worst team in the american leaque(hustons coming)so either kick up payroll 33%or or cut it downs to about 50 and start rebuilding, id trade ham for a couple of pitching prospects then replace some of his power by letting the angels pay us to let wells play her for the next 2 years , basically ushering in our next crop of outfielders,then id trade mauer and morneau to texas for profar or elvis and olt then trade span,florimon,hernandez and hermsen to the reds for cingriani and hamilton,id also look into offering 4 pitchers invites to s.t as non roster invitees brandon webb, scott kazmir, jaokim soria, and jose veras, hoping to find 1 or 2 of them can step back into there old selfs and become july trade bait to help restoke a very sad upper minor leaque

    no but winning 15 is a 25%improvement over last years best pitcher....also would be worth about a 12 game swing in our standings

    If that's what the Rays are asking, they can keep Shields. He's a good, not great, pitcher who is due to make ~$22m over the next two seasons. It doesn't make sense to pay significant prospects for a guy who isn't priced much below what he'd get on the free agent market. i believe shields is ranked as the 11th best starter in baseball for 2012, with santana getting 15 million you think 23 million over 2 years is high for this inning eatting stud?my thoughts are that curly needs to offer up span and a handful of non factor prospects including our minor leaque pitcher of the year hermsen,but he needs to make this trade now, so free agent pitchers can look and see that there will be the making of a rotation other then diamond...

    where else is a high school drop out gonna make over 6 fiqures a year? the other place is rebuilding nukes which is where i ended up, i was the guy stupid enough to climb inside the reactors, after spending parts of 3 decades, i work 2 weeks doing soundings up in alaska in 1990 hahaha, my first rig was andy myers, we work 30 days on and 1 day off 7/12s, 17 years old and earned over 43,000 back in the 70s buy your booze and go back to the room stay away from the drama and save your money for good times back home ..have fun

    apperently haren likes to pitch in warm weather citys , so unless we over pay or unless he needs a few rounds of chemo dont look for him in the twin citys as 1 of our own any time soon

    welfare entitlements? how about stopping corp. welfare first? mitt romney deducted 77,000 dollars for the care of his wifes horse... thats more then most familys earn, haliburtons 3 times billion dollar grants, for every dollar spent on poor welfare 2 dollars are spent on corp. welfare as for social security , thats easy to fix, put congress , the senate and the presidents pensions into it and sit back and watch how fast they repay what they have stolen from it.... the 1%ers keep this country argueing left and right ,while they rob us blind,time for the working class to stop the theft of our country....there more of us then there is of them.....

As drjim rightly pointed out, it's not just the tax hikes, attack the wealthy rhetoric - it's the combination of that with weak proposals to balance it with spending cuts. You believe what you are isn't as far left as it is and it skews your opinion and then you're preaching to all of us about how blind we are about where things stand. It's smug, annoying, and (sadly) predictable. It's yet another demonstration of why I just can't stand liberalism no matter how many points I might agree with it on. At least many a-hole conservatives can blame an all-powerful god for making them idiots, most liberals have only their own smug, head-up-their-butt naivety to blame. Excellent demo for us though, yeesh. just adopt the same law as france if you earn 1 million a year your taxed 75% and if your company earns over 10 million your taxed at 25% time for the 1%ers to pay there share they have been avoiding ...its time for the working class to reclaim our legacy

    my off season blue print....fire the 3 stooges,ok that aint happening , and unless ryan makes a splash landing a #1 or a #2 then no ones coming here unless there in witness protection program or over paid ...so its time to tear it down ..and maybe a few non roster invites with a st invite , say scott kazmir, brandon webb, jose veras and im sure there s a few more out there , liike brandon woods, as for targets i like a pair of pitchers out of pittsburg, cole and taillon , reds have cingriani and the speed freak hamilton, texas has some infield depth with profar and olt in waiting, also offering oswalty a decent incentive ladden contract to use as fodder come june or july might also pan out...basically with no splash or momentium , twins will find it hard to draw decent free agents so lets tear it down and rebuild including the no trade clause smokin joe camel

    after being part of the 70s oil boom and working it till joining the military and returning after my hitch there were some stupid people not all worked in the boom , where money is sh*t will follow,dealers hoes thiefs republicans ,but besides these most of the oil trash people were pretty good people, last may i sold my farmstead rather then continue to deal with the inflation and rebuilding of minot ...if you dont walk around chasing hoes or asking for drugs and being a little respectful you should have no problem in the basin , my nephew who i took out to my rig when he was 5 years old is now nieghbors youngest tool push and keeps asking uncle john to come run a rig for him , i loved growing up in the patch , starting to sismographing at age 16 and moving to rigs as a 17 year old ..save your money have some fun give ,em 8 hours of work for 8 hours of pay ,and be careful sh*t happens ,good luck I have a college degree..... I don't rig or frac. I don't mean that in a snotty way, but it takes a special individual to live that life. I've been out there plenty too. Enough in 09' to claim residency. you know how many college degrees i had working for me?, there every kind in the boom , but no matter what have fun , if your a hunter thats great country for birds and deer some nice muletails out there

    grienke was given a offer? No, Seth's list is correct. Greinke was traded mid season so he doesn't qualify for draft pick compensation. thanks i had forgotten the entire year rule
