As I'm sure Derek will follow the ways of Rocco and put him (Kreidler) inat short once or twice a week can he make it on a day when we have a pitcher who can hit and DĤ fir him. As we all know 99% of all pitchers were the best player on their high school or Ĺegion team who played a position action and more than likely were their teams best hitter. Been there seen that.

It is the dog days of the off season when a meaningless trade like this can lead to 127 comments. Neither player involved will be the subject of any future articles let alone be on a highlight reel outside of a spring training game.

Why do we call Josh Bell a slugger? He hit 3 more home runs than Kody Clemens in 170 more at bat's. NEVER in all time has the word SLUGGER been mentioned when speaking of Clemens. I know the spin is to maybe sell at least 16 more tickets but let's me realilistic. An ancient Miguel Sano could hit 22 with 500+ at bats.

Mr. Shelton is what Falvey could àfford. The Polhads make Calvin Griffith look like Georĝe Steinbrenner. Shelton is a Ricco clone who does every move by what the algorythm says and is terrible with the handliñg of the bullpen. We will have to wait another 10 years ùntil the Pohlads sell or at least realize the fans are tired my their Marquette bank technics of no one else matters but our pocket book. I'll still pay casual attention but my days of being a diehard are over. I grew up in the shadows of the old Met and worked as a vendor there for 10 years watching more than selling. Hardly ever sold a soda or beer while myTwins were batting.

That roster would have a hard time competing in the same league as th Bananas or the college world series

As a life long Twins fan I have become accustomed to ultra cheap owners. Fans were elated when Calvin sold the team and bought the line he'll spend more money without even checking Pohlads business practices which told everyone he was a thrifty penny pinching back stabbing business man. Rare are the buyers who come with the idea that this is fun and profitable if run with that in mind so fans look forward decade's of mediocre performance and big talk.

Bring them all up and maybe we have a low minor manager or coach that can relate and not make all decisions based on computer algorithms

McCrusher could become a Brent Rooker given the chance. It would be great to see our corner outfielders with cannon arms like him and Wallner have move Larnach to first ŵith no experience he should be able to be as good or better than Mr. Slow France. Sell off France with Gonzalez throw in another mid prospect and just maybe get a back of the order starter to fill the gap til mid August when hopefully we will start to get pitchers healthy

Can't believe Ober is not on this list. Take away a couple starts and he was by far the most consistent starter. I see him being top dog this year.

Don't know where Wallner played growing up but by his size he is the prototype Hrbek first basemen who would finally bring the Twins back to the league average for the position on a permanent basis skip the Castro talk trade him while he has some value we have Martin Lee and Jullian who can move around the diamond who are young and athletic

All of these packages have problems. Starring with getting rid of Miranda who when healthy is one of the most productive players on the roster. Look at his rookie year he was neck and neck with E-Rod for Rookie of the year Stat wise until minor injuries. Work on his 1B defense. Bring Tom Kelly into spring training. Look what he did to Hrbek and Mienkevich (pardon the spelling).. Miranda Canbe reasonable 1B. Load a package of Martin Fiesta Jullian Raya and Vasquez.. ask for a high ceiling prospect with Cease

Personally I'd love to see him back as a great 4th OF would be the best Twins have had in recent memory. At 6-10m it's a bargain . But FO needs to acquire great off the bench players like Margot Farmer to keep up their egos. Maybe it's time to get someone involved near the top who has played or coached instead of read the computer print out of stats that are good until a new AI statcomes out next week.

Twins' Biggest Roster Needs for 2025
MesaTwinsFan replied to Matthew Lenz's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
For 2025 starting without Santana Kepler Farmer and Margot there should be money for Castro and let the kids play full time instead of coming to the park and not knowing if Mr.new lineup everyday will have them sit because Rocco scientist studied the analytical data the night before and puts in his new lineup. To the best of my knowledge I don't believe there is a rule saying you can't use the same lineup more than once per season and pitchers ARE allowed to throw more than 82.4 pitches. PLENTY OF MONEY WITHOUT THOSE FOUR AND THEIR PRODUCTION DIDN'T EVEN MEET LEAGUE AVERAGES -
Pohlad Family Greed Killed the 2024 Twins
MesaTwinsFan replied to Cody Schoenmann's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
As a Twins fan since day one I'm finally coming to the conclusion that when Carl P bought the team he acquired Calvin's book on economics and his children found it in the attic and secretly read it like a kid finding their older brothers Playboy. Just like the kids infatuation with the centerfold the brothers are still bonkers on how to scrounge a dollar and treat the fans like young kids and think they don't notice how real owners with significantly less resources can consistently put out a competitive product.- 65 replies

Twins Receiving Calls On Outfielder Matt Wallner
MesaTwinsFan replied to Brock Beauchamp's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
The Twins haven't done well with developing outfield young player and have sold extremely low on some as in Brent Rooker Lamont Wade etc keep Wallner unless it an offer you can't refuse. The man has a Bob Allison cannon and is getting better all the time fielding bring him up to replace Farmer now PLEASE T -
The AFL is perhaps the most enjoyable baseball played in Arizona. Spring training has become a marketing joke with prices that exceed regular season games except premium games. The AFL Provides great baseball my grand children love to watch and have seen many of today's stars in their early stages of development. A new leaguewould just be a new money stream for clubs who would attempt to profit instead of providing a place where young prospects can learn from coaches from a variety of other thoughts and teachings. Teams teach their way or the highway and leave no other options. As the case of Cleveland who consistently turns out SP but rarely a hitter or Minnesota who only can produce hitters.

Twins Minor League Hitter of the Month - July 2021
MesaTwinsFan replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
With the stats these players are putting up the chances of any getting a September call up are slim and none. The FO. Will only call up fringe pitchers so Rocco can have a 17 or 18 man pitching staff. Fo doesn't care about service time on them. These fringe pitchers will never reach 6 years to reach free agency- 17 replies
