  1. That has nothing to do really with rules and regs.; it is the same reason people settle out of court. Not because one is right or wrong but because some do not want to spend the time to prove their case.
  2. NO, they are employees representing or working for some onother and have the same type of restrictions any job can put on its workers. Same reason you cannot proselytize at work.
  3. Pitching was/is a disaster, most any thing is better than what they created. Outfielders -- Buxton, Garlick, Refsnyder all OK, even the veteran rookies, AAA boys not ready for big show -- Celestino, Gordon, Larnach, Rooker -- it seems they kept Cave because his first year was not bad but since then he has played like a AAA rookie. Catchers -- Rortvedt, not ready for Majors, although Jeffers is doing better than Suzuki the former Twins veteran who blossomed after the Twins let him go. Even the worst of the vets are above .200 , do not know why Simmons is in such a slump but his fielding is 500 percent better than any one else on the team at his position. 1st, 2nd and 3rd have not been a problem when veterans played, hopeful exception Kirilloff; Arraez can hit but is a lousy fielder and Gordon as I have said is like watching Willie Mays Hays from the movie.
  4. But, but numbers don't lie....? ?
  5. That is the reason he was removed from SS and replaced by Simmons; he is far from league top 2nd basemen but much better at 2nd.
  6. This front office created the 2019 Twins, maybe they can do that card-trick again.
  7. Because Arraez gets the yips very often.
  8. Well Larnach did not join Rooker and Cave in being the worst new guy and kinda-sorta newer guy but his fielding ability and speed just is not what the Twins need. Trade him for a competent veteran. Rooker should be sent back to the Minors unless the Twins want to pull a Billy Bean on him and have destroyed by Major League pitching to the point he never recovers. Cave -- trade him to Detroit for Grossman.
  9. Our prospects are miserable failure at this point, why pile on the misery.
  10. Twins need a dual purpose pitcher. Rooker is sinking back into this spring training level, Larnach got a surprise hit.
  11. Should have pinch hit Astudillo for Sano.
  12. Trailing by 4 put Burrows in , BRILLIANT!
  13. I agree with you totally, watch baseball highlights, other teams , including those in the cellar, look like they are having fun and show it. Polanco's greeting after hitting the winning home run looked like a wake. Twins announcers are about as enthusiastic as the add they run for cremation services. Without Cruz the team spirit is gone.
  14. Twin's announcer is starting to sound like Harry Doyle from Major League but then the Twins do have Willie Mays Gordon.?
  15. And your team would look like the 2021 Twins.?
  16. Instead of pulling his glove up against his chest, which was useless, in the same time he could have simply back handed it easily; they showed the replay and that was obvious. WHY, did they pull Gant? In several games , commentors have said the way the Twins catchers set-up means they have problems stopping wild pitches.
  17. The pitcher is throwing slow balls and Twins just stand there and watch them go by.
  18. Garver could have bach-handed that pitch, why don't catchers back-hand.
  19. It was Arraez poor throw not Sano; Arraez is a lousy infielder.
  20. 14 Ks and only 3 walks. How the season was supposed to go.
  21. Louis was founded in 1764 as a French fur-trading village by Pierre Laclede. He named the city “St. Louis” for King Louis IX, the crusader king who was the patron saint of Laclede's then ruler King Louis XV.
  22. Keep Simmons, his bat has gone flat but they need his fielding skills badly. Get at least onr vet. outfielder, with a good arm, whose batting average is at least .250 with Refsnyder and Garlick as back-up Send Kepler to baseball school. Hope Kirilloff does not regress like Larnach and Rooker have. Get one reliable pitcher, please.
  23. Hmmm, at the start of the season writers poo-poohed how Detroit was again going flounder around the basement and there is a good chance they may finish ahead of Cleveland. They swept the Yankees in New York. Is that a fluke or better management?
  24. When St. Louis got their first run they babbled about how the Cards were going to chip away at the lead.
  25. You can write about the Twins pitchers getting 14 K against a team with a above .500 record.
