  1. This is the second day in a row, where the catcher tries stop a base stealer and Polanco instead of making sure he catches the ball , even if it will not stop the runner kets it go by. He might as well close his eyes, maybe he does.
  2. I wonder if the Dodgers starting this rookie pitcher is a way of showing the Twins how little respect they hae for them.
  3. Some thing is wrong, some where; the Twins are 4-3 against Seattle and Seattle is 4-2 vs New York, but teams Seattle walk over, dump all over Minnesota.
  4. Yesterday, with the exception of Buxton, all hits were by newbies or rookies; Urshela had the only multi-base hit , other than Bux's homer, and is a better third baseman than Miranda who was 0-4 but they put Miranda at 3rd and bench Urshela. Twins may surprise, but odds are on a long night, or very short one if Twins keep going down 1-2-3.
  5. What is he supposed to do, wish he was still getting closer to the Medoza line??
  6. I watched the last innings last night, the Royals ate the Kernels like pop-corn.?
  7. Whether or not they make the post season is not so important to me but what does mean a lot is how they do against some top teams. If they lost the series to the Royals or Tigers would not bother me IF they split or win the series against Dodger and Yankees. How they do against those teams, mean more to me that losing to division rivals.
  8. Turners fielding stats shows he is better at 2nd base than at Short Stop, far, far, far from the best.
  9. It is a dead issue until spring so it is amazing how much angst it is getting. Next spring we will see how the owners view Sano.
  10. Washington took two in a row from the Dodgers, so there is no excuse of Dodgers being one of the best as an excuse for a loss , much less a blow-out.
  11. I looked up the stats. from the first Dodger game, there they collapsed in the 8th inning; yesterday they collapsed in the 2nd inning. Buxton in the outfield is greatly missed but he there would not have changed the lack of hitting and ptiching.
  12. 7th inning and the Dodgers pitcher has a whole 75 pitches.
  13. They charge Megill with an error when Miranda is the one who looked like he never played ball before, good grief.
  14. If Sano were on the team, in this game he would probably hit multiple homers in a loss.
  15. Dodger need one more run , then they can say they beat the the Twins 7 to 0-1-2
  16. Only the Dodgers with a large lead will steal.
  17. As not good as the pitching has been, I still think the lack of hitting is the Twins greatest problem. They need a hitting coach.
  18. Way to go Ryan let him score; announcers making every excuse they can think of.
  19. I hope Pagan comes out of the pen; he will probably throw his odd great game with zero rund back-up.
  20. The Royals Blue Sox are eating the Kernels like popcorn.
  21. RpR

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

Except for numero uno, the r in rbi stands for - runs - so your analogy sounds, well actually, like a whole lot youths nowadays who graduate from high school incapable of reading, writing or calcuating arithmetic above a 2nd grade level, if that.
  22. They gave up - shots in the dark - nothing more.
  23. I can remember way back when we left the oughts, Buxton, Hicks and Sano were the Minor Leaguers coming whose future was to save the Twins from the doldrums; same blah, blah, blah I here about the current crop of rookies. ?
  24. The fact he does not have the same first baseman every game may be part of the problem; If one knows what the player he is throwing to will/can do if one screws up, it gives the thrower confidence the 1st baseman will over come any defect in the throw. Uncertainty, magnifies errors.
