  1. Play-offs , well, that would be blood pressure raisting praying that their losing streak stops at 18, but all I really, really want, is for them to do to the Yankees what Chicago did and take the series.
  2. Well there have been some games where -- OH you mean the Twins rotation, never mind.
  3. Nope did not see the last sentence, but I agree with him.
  4. Well if you go to Baseball Ref. there is a graph for each team wins/loss showing margin of defeat or victory. You see a lot of green (winning) bars in a row for the leading teams.
  5. The Kernels have a good record and are getting beaten by teams with very poor records, for the past two games.
  6. I do not believe the over-performing shtick, they were performing at expected level, yet, they for the whole season, were , either stomping on opponents of getting stomped on more often than not. There has to be a organization reason for the instability of their play.
  7. Put it this way, Pittsburg 45-66 , has take 5 of 6 from the Dodgers, Cleveland took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers, the Twins cannot win even one, much less make them any thing resembling a close game. Twins have real problems and post season could be another horrid embarrassment.
  8. I will say it again: Oh for the days when posters were complaining about all the solo home runs.
  9. If they keep hitting as they are now, .500 is a gift from God.
  10. Twins need to pick-up some better than average veterans next year and not shoot-in-the-dark that maybe rookies will be not only good enough, but healthy enough to be more than guest appearances.
  11. I watched the last innings last night, the Royals ate the Kernels like pop-corn.?
  12. Whether or not they make the post season is not so important to me but what does mean a lot is how they do against some top teams. If they lost the series to the Royals or Tigers would not bother me IF they split or win the series against Dodger and Yankees. How they do against those teams, mean more to me that losing to division rivals.
  13. Turners fielding stats shows he is better at 2nd base than at Short Stop, far, far, far from the best.
  14. It is a dead issue until spring so it is amazing how much angst it is getting. Next spring we will see how the owners view Sano.
  15. Washington took two in a row from the Dodgers, so there is no excuse of Dodgers being one of the best as an excuse for a loss , much less a blow-out.
  16. I looked up the stats. from the first Dodger game, there they collapsed in the 8th inning; yesterday they collapsed in the 2nd inning. Buxton in the outfield is greatly missed but he there would not have changed the lack of hitting and ptiching.
  17. RpR

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

Except for numero uno, the r in rbi stands for - runs - so your analogy sounds, well actually, like a whole lot youths nowadays who graduate from high school incapable of reading, writing or calcuating arithmetic above a 2nd grade level, if that.
  18. I can remember way back when we left the oughts, Buxton, Hicks and Sano were the Minor Leaguers coming whose future was to save the Twins from the doldrums; same blah, blah, blah I here about the current crop of rookies. ?
  19. The fact he does not have the same first baseman every game may be part of the problem; If one knows what the player he is throwing to will/can do if one screws up, it gives the thrower confidence the 1st baseman will over come any defect in the throw. Uncertainty, magnifies errors.
  20. Thank you , I fixed it; some where along the way my conputer lost spekk check.
  21. Whay not compare to Simmons? Simmons fielding was just as good if not better than Correa at this point but this shows the bat only stigma so many here employ. Runs not scored are just as important as runs scored; i.e. last Twins game.
  22. LOL - Here he comes to save the day,, means that mighty AK is one his way.? but then , Caesar Tovar played every position.
