  1. Without some truly nasty happening, Lewis is the Third Baseman for the next some years.
  2. The force or speed of an object in motion, or the increase in the rate of development of a process. If the twins win more games and go farther into the Post Season -- yes.
  3. I do not worry about the Twins, they do what they do, but, whether or not they can keep up the play into the post season is the big if, not if they get there.
  4. Hmmm, I guess you have a point there, but first they have to earn the right to come up and sit on the bench and wait for some thing to get them in the game, mean while, veterans can stay and play because they have been there, done that, and are not learning how to play or showing they should still be in AAA. Sano , God bless his soul, showed that some times, AAA is not far enough to teach them some thing a few years back.
  5. Yeah, we should not have left Rooker, Le Monte Wade Jr., Hicks etc., etc., etc. go they were rookies therefore their lacklustre play earned them the right to replace veterans.
  6. I landscaped again for a few years , full time, when I was in early sixties taking a break for about five years in the late fifty year age group. Doing that in the early Fifties is young compared to early Sixties, I could still carry two 70 lb. pound blocks, but rather than carry one in each hand 20 yards, I stacked them and carried them leaning on my chest 20 feet.
  7. I consider Juien and Lewis to be rookies but veteran rookiess, unlike those that play in the second half of the game.
  8. That is what it is, not my problem.
  9. Happy thoughts: Acuna was thrown out twice; picked off by Funderburk, and caught stealing by Jeffers!
  10. If one is a big Kirilloff fan, better than being traded.
  11. Eye Test part, although Julien often fails the eye test.
  12. In case you have a reading problem answer to : "If I remember correctly Julien started out with a negative Outs Above Average(OAA), but finish at zero, meaning he was an average defensive second basement. In 2023 the OAA for Polanco and Arraez, were a negative 7 and 13 respectively. If Lee is as good as people expect, he will be the 2nd baseman of the future. Meaning Julien will either move to 1st or will be traded. It wouldn't surprise me if he was traded, especially if he can play average or better defense at 2nd. "
  13. I stopped really following the Vikings a long time ago, but, what percentage of the 2023 Vikings will probably be playing for them in 2024? When I was a youth, a pro team was a mostly complete unit for three to five or more years.
  14. As a poster stated earlier: War, huh, yeah What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, uhh War, huh, yeah What is it good for? Absolutely nothing Say it again, y'all War, huh (good God) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, listen to me, oh
  15. Polanco was a slightly above average Second Baseman but who was stuck at Short Stop too long. The Twins will miss him greatly. Julien is a lousy Second Baseman; hopefully the Twins will not let him play there very long. Arraez was actually a slightly better Second Baseman than Polanco, we will miss him greatly now.

    So What Now?

I understand what you are saying, BUT, here are Smiths first four Major League years: His SLG, OPS are some thing that would have so many here saying DFA, DFA, DAF.

    So What Now?

Multi-Gold Glove Andrelton Simmons played in todays game and was similar in skills to both. If you read his history his glove got him into the Major League; Defense still counts, a lot.

    So What Now?

Ozzie Smith and Bud Harrelson both were not good hitters but were GG and All Stars and played for at least 15 years, so being a top rank fielder should not be ignored good bat or not.
