  1. I am getting a bit worried about Kepler and Margot. Kepler has 2 home runs, a single and 5 walks; Margo has 3 singles and he may be a good fielder but not as good as Taylor and Buxton.
  2. IF he were here, due to his not good , but better than Kirilloff, fielding, he would probably be DH, with occasional stints at 1st base which would mean Kirilloff would be in a world of hurt. Sano has reached the Mendoza line with 3 home runs.
  3. The Twins coaches seem to think Kirilloff is not good enough at this point so they brought in some who they think is good enough.
  4. Twins are not AAA, nor should be used as such.
  5. Pitchers duel at this point with the Cards 1 up.
  6. Santana and Correa strike out.
  7. "Is Brooks Lee Ready?" The people he works for say no. Simple as that.
  8. Wallner Gallo I have said Wallner hints at becoming K batter like Gallo; sadly at the same age, 25, in a similar number of At Bats, Gallo had twice as many BB, but nearly 50 percent more Ks, yet Gallo's total at bats were quite superior to Wallner as was his defense. So , actually, we should hope Wallner becomes a Gallo II
  9. If they are poo in Spring Trainin they will be flushed in regular season; you are rationalizing to excuse poor play or lack of talent.
  10. Counting those 8 games, his strike out percentage as I write this is 48 percent. As I write this, Wallner and Joey Gallo have identical batting averages in Spring Training At that, Arraez was 1 for 16, but in his last 9 at bats has had 7 hits so time will tell, but Spring Training is meaningless only to those who are not there.
  11. As of 4:30 P.M. - March 10, 2024 Arraez Polanco Rortvedt Cave Hicks Sano Garver Refsnyder Gordon Garlick Luplow There are more but this is enough.
  12. If Wallner ends up starting the year in St. Paul, who is the most likely Left Fielder? So far Twins only have 4 hits and Kepler's home run drove in Correa for 2 runs. Duran is getting knocked around.
  13. Twins may yet lose. K Gremlin has returned.
  14. Checked a few other ex-Twins in Spring Training and Luplow is having a fairly good SP, but oddly , in the spec. area they still show him wearing a Twins cap.
  15. A Lot of games before the regular season starts but right now Kep and Wally need more practice.
  16. Not alarmed, expected, he may be Gallo the Second, but as of now Left Field is his.
  17. At this point, Miranda's season is as good as Margot's is bad.
  18. From FanNation: The Minnesota Twins may be preparing to give veteran Carlos Santana an everyday job in 2024, per Aaron Gleeman of 'The Athletic.' When the Twins signed Santana, I assumed he’d platoon with Kirilloff versus lefties and play sporadically versus righties, but I’m now convinced he’ll be the primary first baseman no matter the matchup. They think highly of Santana’s glove and seem to believe he’s still an everyday-caliber hitter at age 38.
  19. What is Spring Breakout? MLB Spring Breakout is a four-day event showcasing baseball’s future: the current stars of Minor League Baseball. The inaugural edition will be held from March 14-17 at Grapefruit and Cactus league stadiums during Spring Training. A series of 16 exhibition games will be played between teams comprised of each MLB organization’s top prospects, creating a new touchpoint on the baseball calendar that celebrates our sport’s budding talent. Here's the Twins' Spring Breakout roster with MLB Pipeline's rankings: PITCHERS David Festa, RHP, No. 5 Marco Raya, RHP, No. 6 Charlee Soto, RHP, No. 7 Zebby Matthews, RHP, No. 20 Alejandro Crisostomo, RHP, NR A.J. 20. AH, Loretto, -- last time I was in Loretto was decades back when many towns outside of the metro area were more like villages, St. Bonni. , Victoria etc., before they were ruined with the cancer of horrendously ugly housing complexes.
  21. Eddie is one of the type where on the whole they are average at best but seem to posses, spur of the moment, greatness.
  22. https://www.mlb.com/news/projected-lineups-rotations-for-every-2024-mlb-team Edouard Julien, 2B Carlos Correa, SS Royce Lewis, 3B Max Kepler, RF Byron Buxton, CF Alex Kirilloff, DH Carlos Santana, 1B Matt Wallner, LF Ryan Jeffers, C Pablo López, RHP Joe Ryan, RHP Bailey Ober, RHP Chris Paddack, RHP Anthony DeSclafani, RHP
  23. The only people thinking about moving Lewis are some posting here; If he is still here, he will be playing Third for a long time.
