    Another disappointment from the pohlads , a announcement deflating the fans interest in the team once again, can't blame the buyer backing out for there reasons ... It's just another disappointment , one after another , the payroll being reduced 30 million for the 2024 season with the window open for being a contender only to fall back to being a pretender .... Should anyone be held accountable , sounds familiar , don't it ???

    Defining quality hitting from the twins batters is very hard to do , yes they get an occasional solo homerun , some hits and doubles but what good is it if they are left stranded ... I define a hitter that can get on base and ignite an offense ( oh where have you gone lead off spark ) , hitting in the pressure situations with runners moving up , hitting in the clutch and driving in runs ... Every win matters from April to September to even consider achieving 90 wins , they can't wait for the second half to turn on the afterburners , you have to do it all year ... Can the twins improve enough with a new hitting coach with maybe a different philosophy on hitting or will they continue to follow falvey and rocco's philosophy and analytics ... It isn't going to be easy but I at least hope it's more consistent and exciting , I don't want to be watching or listening with runners in scoring position and we fail to scratch runs across ...

    Just read trade rumors and it's posted that the club is going to use Bader alot in left field and fill in at centerfield , guy can't hit and we need hitting , looks like the twins want defense and strong pitching and no hitters ... Still predicting a 3rd or 4th place finish , to bad they can't learn to trade a player when their value is high and can't figure out if they have a future for the twins , evaluation is all about knowing if they are a part of the future or not ...

    He wasn't a class act a few years ago in spring training ,when people wanted to talk to him , he responded , we have a job to do , do people come and bother you at your place of work , he was rude ... But that's life ...

    Varland being a Minnesota native , we are pulling for him ... He showed a great bullpen arm in 2023 , that's where he is destined to be , high octane he got the job done , but he is a thrower and hasn't really proven he is a pitcher .. Quit fooling around with varland before he has no value at all and we lose another player for nothing ... He's a bullpen option going forward ...

    Good enthusiastic analysis , great to see a write up about canterino and they aren't giving up on him ... I do believe he should go the bullpen route and build up back to a starter maybe ... I have no idea if anyone will be the sire of fort Myers , is that possible or someone has to win it every year ???

    While I agree the twins haven't matured our prospects as we would like , the prospects have faired well at each level of the minors , but once here in the major leagues , it seems the coaching staff doesn't bring the prospects up to play at this level , this is a new level and much harder , they have to teach them this , take the talent and make them a better talent here at MLB ... I don't agree with trading every one on your list , not yet anyway , they could stop hoarding the players that they don't play regularly and dont have a future with the twins ...

    Especially since the games haven't even started , Rocco projects France to be playing alot , I hope that means spring training only as he has a non guaranteed contract to prove ... Defensive metrics say Miranda is better at firstbase and we know Miranda has good bat control and can hit lefties and righties ... We never get straight answers , so I guess I'm going to be an ass and assume France gets the most reps at firstbase in spring training and he's going to be platoon during the season if he qualifies for a 26 man roster... We just don't need veterans like gallo , Margot or France taking away playing time from a player that could have a future if given the opportunity .... We raised the payroll , but did we raise the talent ??? Coloumbe was needed às a lefthanded relief roll , Bader as defense but we could have gone in house , France was an unusual signing and not really needed , because hes a veteran doesn't qualify him for a roster spot ...

    I just read the title ... Ranking the NRI ... My ranking is just depth , not on 40 man roster so pretty sure not a one gets to go north ...

    I'm sure they don't just pick a city , they most likely throw darts ... Also Steve, I've noticed these road trips of your but haven't given it any thought because 1 through 6 there wasn't anything but a boring off season by the fans perspective ... I do have a question , will you continue these road trips in order from which you started or once the season opens will you redo road trips in there order again ???

    Is canterino or preilipp in camp , two pitchers with the best pitches that are major league worthy , so I've heard , are they no longer prospects of our top 30 ... Keaschall should be number one if he is considered to be in the major leagues first , as stated by Cory, he should be here in the first half and that projection should give him top billing of prospects ... Go keaschall ...

    And to give up on Moran in the trade , a much needed lefthander doesn't make alot of sense when your short on lefthander depth ... There was probably more upside to Moran than Gasper , but you'll see his bat in spring training games alot just like France who has to prove his non guarantee contract ...

    If he's an everyday player in spring training that's fine , he's trying to earn the position on a non guaranteed contract ... If he succeeds on the 26 man roster , he's a platoon hitting lefties and not an everyday player , Miranda hits better and hits righties probably better than France ... France can pinch hit , sit on the bench and DH ...

    Julian should not even be considered for the 26 man roster , the way he played on both sides of the ball was terrible in 2024 , AAA bound to work on his mental game and earn his way back ... Lee or Martin, will be sent to AAA for more refinement , and we know keirsey Jr don't have a chance to open on the 26 roster , with bader's acquisition ...

    A needed acquisition is coloumbe being a good lefty in the bullpen ... Huascar ynoa is intriguing but needs to probably build up arm strength due to injuries ... Bader's defense should be solid in the outfield ... Is there any other NRI worth talking about , maybe Castellano because of the rule 5 tag on him ...

    We have a very good starting pitching staff to be optimistic about , but realistically they are just a step below being an ace , in today's game there just aren't many aces , studs or bulldogs that you can rely on to win practically every game , when we had ( cy young ) Santana you were rest assured you were going to get a win ... Twins staff is very good , but I just don't ever have that feeling the day they pitch that they will pitch to a win , they will give you a competitive game and keep you in the game of most starts ...

    Correction on castro , though he was in the allstar game last year he was a substitute for Correa , so technically it wasn't earned but he did have a nice first half ... Who has a chance to make their first allstar from the names mentioned above ... Captain Jax , if he's as dominant in the first half in 2025 and he isn't selected for a allstar , then I'm not buying a ticket to go watch him pitch ...     We will never win another world series with this group , I hope it's better with an owner that wants to win ... Also , will we ever have anyone presently that could be a hall of famer , if you continue to platoon players , they'll never be considered worthy of the HOF ...

    I grew up on the farm and cleaned out the barn and shoveled c**p , and I miss the farm ... I sure ain't liking this c**p the FO is trying to sell us in believing we will be contenders in the playoffs ... Our pitching is strong but our inconsistent hitting and defense hasn't been addressed ( Bader on defense but lacks a strong bat ) ... Our FO lives on hope and continue to be pretenders ...
