    Rocco will always find a way to not get an easy win ... Well our 2 best bullpen guys have been used and now we go to the 10th all tied up ... Rocco went with his gut on Duran in the 8th and Jax in the 9th , how many times in this season we see our closer not close out a game ...

    Why wasn't the jitters worked out in spring training ... Why wasn't the team prepared the right way to start the season ... Why is Rocco and his so called professional coaches still here trying very little to change this team into winners , falvey hired these coaches ( his words not mine when he cleaned house , we have hired the top professionals at every level ) ... Falvey may have hired the top professionals for the minor leagues because they teach and a player developes , but at the major league level this bunch of professionals ( coaching ) are failing to see the light to continue the teaching process at the hardest level , it's plain and simple as the eye test doesn't lie , the team plays terrible defense and offense ... Oh and by the way , this team is not a homerun hitting team , get over it and start wishing for more singles and doubles and just a better consistency of play ...

    I like what I'm seeing from the bullpen ... Sure they give up hits but they aren't walking anyone ... In the past a pitcher would come in and walk the first batter he faced and then the hits and was scored upon , keep from walking anyone and the bullpen will be fine ...

    It's still complicated ... What I would do differently is fire Rocco , the players we have do have talent but Rocco and his coaches do not know how to address this ... Spring training was the time to address the issues and get this cleaned up , nothing has changed from 2024 except falvey got promoted to another higher title and we hired new hitting coaches ...

    You said it , the players aren't getting it done , I say it is all the manager and coaches and FO that should take most of the responsibility ... Minor league players have to develop to move up in the system , each level gets harder , you don't stop honing your skills , coaches coach so they can move up but once the player gets to the MLB level and the hardest level , it seems our coaches ( rocco's and Falvey's top professionals, their words not mine) aren't teaching this talented bunch enough to be a better talent ... I just don't see this happening with our youth since rocco's been deployed as manager , everyone screams that the team lacks fundamentals for example , there's alot more procedures they could instill in the players , situational hitting would be another ... Baseball is probably the hardest game to play in professional sports , are the players just looking at it like it's a job and for the money or are they just lacking the passion to be a better player or just collecting a paycheck ??? ... After 7 games they just don't show they prepared well in spring training for the regular season , yikes ...

    It's not whether you win or lose , it's how you play the game ... Man do they suck , waiting for someone to step forward and take responsibility , this is not an April fools joke , it's for real ... Light a fire under these guys ... I worked for a complete a-hole in my day , he knew his business , i didnt walk on egg shells around him but it made me learn a better skill , I worked for the guy because I wanted to be on the traveling team , I did walk out on him a few times , he didn't like it , but the supervisor had no problem with it ... The team doesn't need to play for an a-hole , it just needs to play for someone that knows it's business ... You guys figure out who I might be talking about , it could be more than just 1 ...

    Today was a good game , got the lead and held it ... Lopez hit his spots , buxton hits a solo homer , Bader hits another 3 run homerun and off to a good start , lets hope we have a diamond in the ruff , We were 3 for 6 with runners in scoring position and only stranded 3 , nobody walked and is it just be my imagination , but when was the last time the team struck out less than 5 times ...

    I can't resist , i love my Twins , but after the first 4 games played I really was thinking the twins wouldn't win any games ... What a difference a month makes ...

    There is another way to gauge if a player is a clutch hitter and that is the eye test , are we that blind by metrics that we can't see ... We have no batter right now that we can really count on in a pressure situation , and I mean pressure situations ... We also have no spark in this line up , can metrics fix that ??? ...

    The twins should be singing the st Louis blues , no redemption this year unless we meet in the world series , NOT ... I'm not going to panic because there really is nothing to panic about , the twins were awful in second half of 2024 and we are seeing a continuation to start 2025 , i guess we'll have to get use to it but it's definitely going to be a long season ...

    Baldelli should have been fired after the first game this year to send a message to the players that this team management means business and wants to win , I sure hope your right , I've been a non believer of baldelli since the 2019 playoffs , chief is on bored also for a different voice , Rocco pure and simple is not a major league manager ...

    I just read the title and that was enough for me , yes we don't have a surplus of catching but jeffers is not worthy of an extension ... Why wasn't Vazquez catching Lopez yesterday on opening day , we might have had a better outcome, Vazquez has smarts and defense is better ... Goes to show , Rocco never puts the best players on the field ... Everyone likes jeffers because he hits alittle better , but it's inconsistent streaky ...

    Same old thing , errors and lack of situational hitting with bases loaded and 1 out , nothing to show for it ... St Louis is a class act on opening day , I always tune in on the cardinals opening day festivities each year ... Now if you were watching carefully when the announcer announced our twins reserves , our player's looked apprehensive to take the field and line up , no enthusiasm for the first game of the season ... This team has no emotion , no spark and that's another knock on the manager , I miss our spark plug ignitor arraez , he brought a spark to the lineup ... Sonny gray and the cardinals defense was good for the win ... Twins hitters against good pitching are left helpless , you can't beat good pitching during the season, you won't win in the playoffs , I know it's only 1 game that counts but it's worth taking notice of this as we play through the season ...

    Has Rocco seen the light ... If he continue managing ( if you can call it that ) the way he has the twins will be pretenders and not contenders ... If Rocco can deviate from his past managing and not be so predictable the twins will have a chance to win the AL Central , if not , I'm not expecting the twins to be contenders ... The talent is definitely there in the pitching , lineup has no consistency in hitting , could some be comeback players and improve the twins chances , yes they could ... They have to take the field and come to play , will they come to play with a spark or killer instinct , we have new hitting coaches so maybe the hitters will adjust to a situation and drive runners in scoring position in with no outs ... Let's go twins, 2025 season is here and let's play good exciting baseball ...

    It's not looking good for the defense on right side , castro our super utility guy looks to get the playing time there , with Gasper filling in , I have to agree management is just plan oblivious to filling positional needs , Martin should have been given reps at second base , last year he played some games there and looked better than Julien , management likes Martin's speed , so they see him as an outfielder when they never groomed him in the minor leagues , playing shortstop primarily in minors should at least get you a 2nd base opportunity ... Management constantly has the fans scratching their heads while they keep digging a bigger hole for themselves ... Twins hammered the red Sox today, which I think is a good ending to spring training ... Off to st Louis , we beat the Missouri team on opening season series , the royals last year , can we beat up on the other Missouri team , the cardinals for opening season series , we should as cardinals are a restructuring the team ...

    Varland in 2023 was impressive in the bullpen at season's end and playoffs , why management continued to pitch him as a starter in 2024 ( depth as a starter isnt a good enough reason when others , like Festa and others were better options as a starter ) , one never knows why ... Im just hoping management didn't wait to long in making him a bullpen arm and he can continue as a dominant arm ...

    Gasper did not have a good day in today's game ... 3 strikeouts and 1 error ... It's not up to me if he makes the team for opening day , if he does , we will have to open another discussion , if memory serves me right he's a switch hitter so that helps his chances , I haven't been following him much on his splits ...

    Who's right , Who's wrong ... I could care less about where he is rated for discussion ... Just let the kid play and hit , his power numbers should come , but I'll take a gap hitter and lots of doubles any day of the week ... Just hope he stays healthy and bust down the door as he develops ...

    I'm concerned about the Duran , rookie year was sensational , 2nd year had some hiccups , 3rd year injured to start the year , velocity down the rest of the season , another eye test is he is better as a ninth inning guy than coming in the 7th or 8th inning against the opponents heart of the order ... Use Duran correctly and it should be a good season for Duran ... Yes Jax was exceptional last year and I see no reason the righthander can't repeat , such a bull dog when he shuts down an opponents inning with 15 pitches or less , any more pitches and he's not on his game ... Sands , can he establish himself with a quality season again this year ... Rest of the staff needs to perform and stay healthy , are we a number 1 bullpen , TIME WILL TELL ...

    As stated by other post , what concerns me is how Rocco utilizes Duran , we are suppose to have high leverage arms to put the fire out in crucial situations , Duran definitely faired better as a ninth inning save situation pitcher , not in the 7th or 8th inning against the other teams best hitters ..

    Chicago who , white Sox ... Yes we play Chicago and most likely they will have growing pains but should be better ( Should have a better record than 2024 ) , will the twins beat them single handedly again this year , that depends on our lineup producing hits and runs and not leaving men on base with no outs ... I am not as confident as some on our hitting , the front office is banking on the same hitters to have better numbers , better numbers of what , most of the hitters were around average hitters the past couple of seasons and show no promise of changing , it would be nice if our hitters are better and can hit against better pitching and better teams ... We definitely took a step back last season , did we even win a game against the Yankees ???? , the previous year 2023 we played well against them ... We'll have to wait and see
