  1. I love how I have to provide more evidence but your evidence is *checks notes* two talking heads on sports radio? And then you do your normal thing - you came here to argue, make a point with flimsy to no evidence, get pinned on it, and then claim total ambiguity on cost certainty and therefore everyone is wrong but you. Somehow. Magic I assume. If only Jim Bowden would share more mysteries of life with us peasants on his glorious sports radio day time talk show. What a world it would be!
  2. Your friendly reminder that there is no worse fan base (not even Philly!) than Notre Dame. They've even managed to get me to root for Ohio freaking State.
  3. The simple truth, is that you can watch any game you want for free with as little information as knowing a reliable streaming site. This price point will get some people and the effort is commendable, it will be so little that they'd be better putting it on for free as an act of good will IMO.
  4. It would help, in general, if you spent less time speculating in your responses and more time researching them and presenting actual arguments and evidence. https://www.legalzoom.com/articles/cost-of-marketing-ii-advertising-on-cable-tv Let's go with the highest possible amount of money they could get according to this: $200. (They won't get that with 40k subscribers....I assure you) According to estimates, an average baseball game has about 32 minutes of commercials. In 30 second spots, this would be 64 ads per game. That would be about 11,000 commercials throughout the entire season. At the elevated price of $200 that would be roughly 2M. So....no. No that will not pay 3/4 of 50M. And go ahead and wildly inflate/double/change those numbers all you want, you'd have to multiple by them by several factors to even get close to such a price tag.
  5. This right here. If you're Ben Johnson, why would you want any of the openings other than Chicago and maybe the Jags? The QB situations are pretty terrible everywhere else.
  6. Hiring Marty from beyond the grave is a bold choice....
  7. All I want is a not-sh$#* ref game. Too much to ask?
  8. Well, time to root for Josh Allen next week!
  9. Got pressured, couldn't plant.
  10. Helluva effort to even get to that point.
  11. What a throw. What a catch.
  12. Stafford is struggling to plant and drive the ball.
  13. I get that, but there's a reason why Detroit leans on Monty in those situations. Gibbs is a homerun hitter and I love him, but if you want the nasty, ground and pound, physicality....you'll have to find that back a complement. Unless you got yourself a Saquon Barkley, RB rooms are best built as tandems.
  14. It's amazing what a top flight QB and a pass rush can do to make you a contender.
  15. Maybe I've just watched more of him, I don't see him as that guy. People dogged Montgomery for a lot of reasons too, but power, contact balance, and shiftiness are hard to teach. And as I did in my mock offseason - I added a shifty, all-gas runner too!
  16. Milton Williams is a DT to watch for the Vikes. I'm starting to wonder if they don't tag and trade Darnold.
  17. That front is really good. The back end is pretty mediocre, but those four guys can pressure like maniacs.
  18. I mean, if he's declared a failed pick, that's what he is. Yes, they gave up some mid round picks to move up and get him. I just wouldn't give up on a 21 year old with that kind of freaky athleticism yet.
  19. Hopefully next year when they bulk him up. If the production doesn't come then, it's a failed pick. I certainly agree they passed on guys who would've been better immediate contributors. I'm not sold he's Lewis Cine though.
  20. I'm not worried about Turner per se. I think the problem is that clearly you could've had Verse in the role Patrick Jones occupied, but Turner isn't big enough for that. It's a huge short term (and very possibly long term) miss, but I can see the bend/freaky nature of Turner that had their attention.
  21. Yup, hence my Cam Skattebo love. I want the Vikes to add some grit/nasty.
  22. That'll happen when it's 24-3 in the second quarter.
  23. No disagreement on the second point. But most teams that are good at running do it in 2-3 yard chunks and then rip off big chunks so I wouldn't hold that against them.
  24. In fairness, you can't run every play. And when he tried that other kind of play the Benny Hill music came on and our QB looked like he had just arrived on the planet and didn't know how to use his arm or brain. Then...snowball.
