  1. Hypothetically dealing relievers for position players and starting pitchers is a really, really wise strategy. Of course, you shouldn't feel compelled to deal EVERY reliever you have, but it's a sound strategy.
  2. Another great start by Bradley. Great at-bat by Jeffers that was the difference in the game. My god why is this team allergic to the bases being loaded?
  3. I appreciate the attempts to modernize the product. Now modernize your budget.
  4. You know what the worst part of all of this is? The team isn't even young. They're closer by average age to the oldest team in the league than they are the youngest.
  5. Taj looks like a lot of fun. He just needs 3-4 solo homeruns every game and we'll be good.
  6. So Kirk's deal is essentially 1/20M, but it is signed as 5/172M. Is Kirk really just trying to be the all-time Free Agent? We hear about it as a joke, but I'm starting to think he actively is trying to hold that crown as a thing he cares about.
  7. Yeah, given the weapons and line in front of him, his production is pretty mediocre. And trending the wrong way. I like you and @Vanimal46's comps.
  8. Honestly...as a guy who pounded the table to draft him way back when....is he even a "good-ish" quarterback at this point?
  9. You're not wrong the the run production is the biggest issue, but this defense is going to lose the team a lot of games this year.
  10. I'm at the point where I'm hoping for a trade down. We have too many holes and the talent from 15-45 is pretty similar.
  11. The regular positional players remain my greatest frustration with this franchise. We simply do not put good enough players out in the field on a daily basis. Bullpen and rotation have their issues, but the lineup and defense remain the central problem.
  12. To add to this...by my eye the Orioles had zero intention of pitching to him. One of the problems with having a soft lineup like the Twins have is that it is easy to pitch around some of our guys. It sure seemed like that was the treatment Wallner was getting this series.
  13. Wallner has a great eye but he's leaning on it a bit too heavily it seems.
  14. Pfft, I was, like, 64% sure Mr. Bradford was wrong the whole time!
  15. It's crazy to me how often the same people who say "Spend money to make money" can ignore this advice in virtually every situation. Investment reaps rewards when done well. We've lost this thread on everything from public education to free agent baseball deals. What a time to be alive.
  16. Correct, I guess I should've been more specific to the baseball ops side of things. There is no real plan there because the main theme is about cost-cutting not about winning games.
  17. Even then Falvey didn't leave until January 30th. You're getting ready for ST at that point. The franchise is completey rudderless at this point.
  18. Wait...you mean changing virtually nothing other than the manager didn't cause wild changes to the way the organization operates? I'm shocked sir. Shocked I say! Also...the answer is obviously Rocco. You should follow along better.
  19. This is a good article and what I appreciate being pointed out is that the team seems to recognize that they don't play defense at a high enough level but their actions over the last 9 months have been the polar opposite of a team trying to fix that problem! We added a bunch of corner IF/OF types with limited mobility. We have a sketchy middle infield. Almost zero team speed. And, maybe worst of all, a bunch of guys that have been moved around that dont' appear to be very good at being moved around.
  20. The only thing that might have actually belonged on this list is the Pohalds selling the team. Maybe we'll be so bad that they'll bail? Can one dare to dream?
  21. Having 6 left fielders is the same as having none.
  22. All good points. I think your prediction had a legit basis. This team's process continues to bewilder me.
