    If he wants to do something similar for half the years, I'm interested. I'd give him 3/65 even. But anything over 3 years and I'm out unless it's a full team option.

    Baseball players often feel like they have chastise young players (or, most frequently (but not in this case), non-American players) for playing "the wrong way". I don't believe this is Dozier's first foray into that sort of thing. It won't be the last either and it won't ever stop being confusing and subjective.

    Getting beat by 25, at home, with playoff seeding on the line is almost as embarrassing as the Memphis loss. I know Butler is great, but this stretch of the season without him should've been the time KAT or Wiggins elevated their game and instead we see this. Ugh.

    Media maybe, not much a Molitor thing so far as I can see. Rosario, Berrios, and Dozier have all commented publicly about not liking it. I was happy to see Bert immediately step in to squash the complaint-fest Bremer was ramping up. It's rare to see Bert on the well-reasoned side of an unwritten rules issue.

    If the game is "too close to over" for a bunt, it's too close to over for a shift. If you shift, you get what you asked for. Twins are spoiling an amazing effort with whining.

    I've never seen Gibson's stuff look that lively. It manifested some walks, but I'll take something like this every night from him, he was filthy. Also...Max Kepler is going to be a star.

    In my opinion, Punisher is the one to try. I think you will find JJ2 largely boring or maddening.

    I thought the second half of Daredevil Season 2 (when Punisher left the forefront) became pretty dreadful. The first half of Luke Cage was pretty great too, but it also became dreadful. And we shouldn't even speak of Defenders, good lord what a mess. I don't think it's coincidence that the best parts of the Netflix run featured Fisk, Killgrave, Cottonmouth, and Punisher. You know....villains worth loving.

    Also....Jessica Jones Season 2.....not so hot. The Marvel Netflix run has had one decent showing since Daredevil/Jessica Jones started so strong. (Punisher)

    Losing Polanco does hurt, but I don't think the Indians come anywhere close to 3rd in the AL in offense next year. I also imagine their pitching (while still clearly the best in the AL) won't be quite so dominant. They had the best ERA+ in the last century. Odds are not good for repeating that. I think the depth the Twins have in their lineup and their pitching staff makes up a lot of ground on the high-end pitching of the Indians. But the Twins are a far shakier bet because there are still so many players we're unsure about.

    I don't think the margin is that great. The Indians were historically amazing as a pitching staff last year, I'm not sure they can repeat that level of production. And I'm not terribly convinced their offense can muster what it did last year either. (I have similar concerns about the Twins, but I think the margin is closer to 2-3 right now)

    Boy, that infield looks thin. I hope they're still in the market for someone.

    It's hard to imagine winning playoff series after losing to a team that just got whooped by 61 the other day.....

    The Indians deserve to be favorites, but the Twins are not far behind. I think the margin here is slim enough that injuries are going to make a huge difference.

    I hear he weighs 600 pounds and will be allowed a designated runner as well. As long as we're dabbling in hyperbole.....

    Since there are some people that know Betsy personally or may be more connected, is there more information about the investigation out there? In particular, reports I heard indicated that there was "conflicting" accounts. I know Betsy and Miguel have conflicting accounts, but what of the other 18 people? Maybe there is nothing else to know, but I would be curious to find out if anyone has anything more clued into the investigation. (Plus, I think that we know a lot about one version of the events, but there were a sizable number of questions at the outset about other people from the Twins that may have been present)

    I'm happy for the team and for Miguel. I hope for Betsy there is justice in telling her story and having people listen and sympathize with her.

    Are there any guys out there that could operate as a corner OF and infield? I guess I'd like another guy around with Sano's lingering issues. Or can Aybar go to AAA as that insurance?

    Hard to put a positive spin on Erick Aybar being made into a necessary bench piece. This just stinks.
