  1. Sweet ****ing Christ man, calm down. Did Boras and Appel kill your dog?
  2. Wimmers will hopefully be the last time the Twins take another bullsh*t PTC low-ceiling pitcher again in the first round. God I hated that ****ing pick.
  3. If Toronto was gonna panic and make an injury trade they would have done so for a pitcher as they're pitching nobodies right now (that are still somehow better then the Twins pitchers) I could see Span wit hthe Reds, but even with his contact issues Stubbs still offers alot with the glove & baserunning.
  4. Exactly, they're a garbage team with these valuable assets, why not trade them cause you won't get any better while they're under contract and get some prospects that can help hopefully once they're good again.
  5. And look how much as to go right for the Twins to maybe get back in contention. You have to hit on the Span and Liriano trades, you have to make some smart trades or signings to fill the rotation. You keep your fingers crossed that Ploufee, Doz and Revere are everyday player. You hope Diamond, Burton, Perkins and Burnett have to keep pitching well, you hope Mauer & Willingham stay healthy. The chances that all those hit are slim to none, IMO it's better to bottom this thing out. Load up on as many prospect as you can and start building, then infuse the team with smart free agent signings.
  6. I agree that a couple good arms would go along way to fixing this mess, but there's no indication that the Twins are gonna go out and make the trade or signing to get those guys. I like Gibson longterm, but don't see him being a difference maker out the gate. Who's playing the infield, cause at the moment Ploufee looks like the only longterm solution there. Will Span be traded, is Revere an everyday player, can Willingham's back stay good, who the hell is gonna fill out the rest of the rotation, will the bullpen still be functioning at that time. I know every team has questionmarks going forward, but IMO there's a hell of alot more questions for this team then answers. Enough questions that I don't see this team going from back to back 90+ loss season to suddenly in contention for a damn thing.
  7. No reason...really Dave?
  8. Even though the Twins will not be a playoff time during Willingham's contract?
  9. Jetersy really got after it, CCsy really mixed his pitches and Canosy real battled at the plate. Top notch color guy.
  10. FIxed and fingers crossed!
  11. What difference is there in trading him now and trading him in 6 months at the Winter Meetings?
  12. Like everyone on this roster, SELL SELL SELL!
  13. Now that's the Twins way, selling incredibly low!
  14. The only way the Twins are gonna compete in the next couple seasons is to pay out the ass for Grienke, Hamels and everyother functioning pitcher on the market. Since there's a less then zero % chance the Twins will break the bank for even one of those guys I don't see how this team is suppose to suddenly suppose to rebuild an entire rotation in a season.
  15. And what good do all those homers do for the team that's gonna lose another 90+ games?
  16. Trade them both. I know it would be a dick punch to the fans but neither player will be around when this team is ready to compete again. I'm not sold on Revere yet and who know would the hell could play LF but if teams are offering you the arms you need to rebuild this rotation, the Twins should hesitate moving either of these guys.
  17. Ryan and Smith's drafts are the same cause neither of them are drafting anyone. It's all Johnson running that show.
  18. I have no idea what the hell the Twins gameplan for this draft was. Drafting an army of flawed college relief arms isn't how you rebuild a system. I wish the BYTO forum was still up cause I even mentioned that I bet the Twins will leave a bunch of money on the table and dammit if those cheap bastards didn't prove me right. In the end we won't know what how this draft class was for years, but they took a flawed strategy when this farm system deperatly need an infusion of talent.
  19. Just commit to this kid and let everyone kind out if he's a backend starter or not. This is what bad teams do, you play the youth to see if they have a future with your club.
  20. How do you reason getting 2 viable MLB starters (and once again I'll say it's maybe still early to call Revere and Diamond that) outta the last 6 years of drafts very good talent evaluation?
  21. Between Lind who's locked up and E5's new contract the Jays are pretty set at 1B/DH.
  22. A pretty uninspired lot, too many flawed relief arms. Maybe one day I'll be wrong, but not a fan.
  23. Where the hell do the A's continue to find these arms? I know Oakland can Petco a pitcher, but they keep trading arms only fill them with no name talent that gets the job done.
  24. Two major league starters in Revere and Diamond (and it might be a little early to already call them that) in the last handful of years isn't good. That's not having a thinner pool of talent to work with cause they're drafting later in the first, it's called poor talent evaluation. The Twins have done a very poor job in the draft over the last couple seasons, some bad lucky with injures but that's part of the game. If the Twins had done a better job of infusing this team with cheap young talent we wouldn't be seeing the 100 million dollar abomination we are today.
  25. Purke is damaged good, last time he threw it was reported her was mid-80's and his control has deserted him. His shoulder is mush at this point.
