    What is there to trust...HE'S A 325/.374/.485 HITTER AGAINST LHP!! Were not talking about potential or maybe he'll figure it out. The guys has proven he can hit LHP and hit it well.

    So you'd rather the Twins give up an asset to trade for someone when they have a guy in the minors who costs nothing and is a .325/.374/.485 hitter against LHP and makes 400K?

    Lets not make it seem like Casilla has been getting some type of shaft from the organization and the fan base. He's a 27 year old .251/.307/.335 career hitter who can't stay healthly and is a spotty defender at best.

    It will be a cold day in hell before Gardy platoons or pitch hits for Morneau (even though it's the absolutly right call) against LHP.

    Yeah cause 90+ loss teams totally need 5 million wrapped into 70 innings, that's really what smart rebuilding teams should do. Punt draft a pick and pay mediocre relief arms 5 million dollars.

    If the Twins were gonna be a playoff type team then hell yeah I'd sign him for 2/10. But it's not the backup catcher/DH is gonna make or break the Twins the next couple seasons as they rebuild. He's a nice piece to have around, but that shouldn't stand in the way exploring his market this trade deadline and moving him his ass if the deal is right.

    I really don't think the Twins should count on anyone within the organzation for next years rotation. I know it's crazy to think the Twins can get 5 viable SP in one offseason, but once horseshoe falls outta Diamonds ass what are you left with. Craptastic Blackburn, rehabbing Gibson and a bunch of AAAA kindling arms.
