  1. The Power Trip Morning Show Nick's taste in movies and music Lev's humility
  2. Wasn't there a death in his family or something I'm not using that as an excuse, he's still a professional getting paid millions. But could that be the reason he's behind the ball.
  3. Shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic...meh.
  4. What the hell are you talking about? Baker kept saying something wasn't right and Gardy and the front office kept questioning his toughness and saying "he just needs to get out there and pitch"
  5. The Twins front office and coaches shouldn't have **** all over Baker in the media then. Like you said in the last year of his deal why would Baker want to be out unless he was legit injuried. Instead the Twins ripped the guy apart all spring. But what else is new in this organziation
  6. If the Twins were in a position to compete next season I could see picking up the options and hoping he'll be ready for the second half of the season. But with another losing season on the horizon it doesn't make much sense to have Baker back in the fold with his option.
  7. I forgot about Ramos, still I don't know if I'd call 4 MLB players a pipeline. Houston had a pipeline when it was signing Santana, Carlos Guillen, Aberu, Richard Hidalgo and others. A ****ty 2B, an relief pitcher, a crappy utility player and a promising but young catcher isn't a pipeline.
  8. ATL has pushed him agressively, hell he's only 20 year old playing at AA. The athleticism behind the plate is there and I believe in the end he'll hit enough to be a damn fine catcher. Maybe not a star, but an cheap cost controlled everyday catcher as it looks like Mauer being a full-time catcher is over.
  9. I'd chop off my arm to get Christian Bethancourt, but that's a bit too rich for for ATL to give up.
  10. When was the pipeline to Venezuela? The Twins have had Rivas & Mijares & Luis Rodriguez reach the major from Venezuela and that's really it.
  11. If your Baker would you even resign with the Twins after the coaching staff and front office called you a pussy all spring training only to find out your elbow is mush? NTM if you're gonna go on a one year make good deal, you head to SD, the Dodgers or another excellent pitchers park in the NL.
  12. Besides the fact that will be a cold day in hell before the Twins pony up the type of money Greinke is looking for. Greinke alone doesn't make this a playoff team. By the time this team is good again, Span is long gone so sell high while he's got alot left on a cheap contract.
  13. Love Span, but I don't think the Twins could get back a Wheeler type prospect back for him. Just cause one team does something stupid, doesn't mean that sets the bar for a trade.
  14. Dozier running hard about the box on that spinning ball play earned him atleast another 3 weeks in the majors even if he continues to show nothing in the field or at the plate.
  15. Yes yes yes...and I don't even like Gould that much.
  16. It would suck to see him go, but this is what bad teams have to do. Hopefully moving Span will bring back to pieces to help this rebuild go quicker. But sadly I have my doubts about the Twins identifying the right pieces in a trade.
  17. Did Span really just bunt down by 4 runs?
  18. Please for the love of **** will people stop like the only two options for a backup catcher are Butera or giving Doumit stupid money. The Twins lack of building a roster and for some unknown reason thinking Drew needs to be on the 25 man roster doesn't excuse a stupid and bonehead signing by the Twins front office.
  19. Cause Son of Sal getting at-bats is what's gonna get this team back to being good again. Doumit isn't gonna make or break the future of this team so I don't understand why you sign a defensivly challenged catch/DH.
  20. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb! Why the hell are they giving multi year deals to injury-prone backup catchers? He's played well this season but that doesn't change he's a 31 year old defensively challenged injurty prone backup C/DH that the Twins felt they needed to lock. They could have moved him at the deadline or hell even keep him and figure out something in the off season, but there's not point to this extention. This is a move that stupid teams do.
  21. Smith caught hell left and right but I've yet to see any blame going to the man running the drafts. Johnson is the reason the Twins have no pitching, no depth and a middle of the road MiLB system.
  22. Exactly, Smith didn't have awful drafts one after the other. No doubt Smith made some bad moves, but IMO Deron Johnson has done more harm to this franchise to Smith.
  23. Don't you dare try to excuse that abomination of a move. NTM the that equal WAR has cost the Twins about 13 million while it's cost the Nats 400K.
