  1. Personally I'm not a big fan of looking at other trades and applying that to what people think the Twins should get. There's so many other factors that go into things, but I pray the Twins don't think they should get a Turner+ type deal.
  2. The bottom line is the Twins haven't done well at delveloping pitchers and position players over the last decade. Hell if they would have they wouldn't have to give 2 year deals to 38 year old infielders or have a rotation with a bunch of no-name AAAA scrubs.
  3. My pants are getting tight just thinking about it.
  4. So relief pitcher in Perkins, Ploufee who's done nothing in his career outside of an insane June/July. Loshe hasn't been in the organization for years, Revere is still living off a hot May and has such a limited ceiling even if he makes it. As for the kids in the minors, let me know when they're up and contributing.
  5. I'd love nothing more then to get rid of the stupid Canuck for anything. He's god damn worthless at this point in his career, time for Parmelee era to begin.
  6. All drafted before over 10 years ago...try again.
  7. I drool over a lineup too that features 4 guys that have done nothing at the major league level.
  8. Hunter on a one year deal makes a ton of sense, he's still a viable bat with enough defense to not kill you on the corners. Move Revere to LF, Willingham to DH and that's a respectable stop gap to see where Hicks, Arcia & Benson are in 2013. I guess alot depends on what happens with Span over the next couple weeks.
  9. BTW if Ploufee can't get this bunt down I can't wait for the post-game where Gardy throws him under the bus for the loss.
  10. Was that a legit hit off a lefty for Morneau or a little flair into right?
  11. What odd game are you speaking of where a closer can pitch before the 9th inning?
  12. WHOA WHOA WHOA...using your two best relivers in the same game before the 9th inning? Me not understand.
  13. 7 MLB innings and Robertson is nothing special...20 spring training innings and give Liriano a 3 year deal. But still holds out faith in Nick Blackburn.
  14. See what happens when Cappsie isn't around, just f*cks everything up.
  15. Master game manager Ron Gardenhire strikes again.
  16. Thome might hit the Target Center in this at-bat.
  17. What are you talking about...he hasn't walked anyone. He's pitching great!!
  18. Morneau down to a .753 OPS...hot damn his contract can't end soon enough.
  19. 1. Crap 2. Crap 3. Crap 4. Diamond 5. Crap
  20. Another classic overreaction by Dave when it comes to Liriano, hell you wanted to sign him to a new contract after 20 meaningless spring training innings. But then he throws a couple clunkers and you're the first one making "F*CK LIRIANO" threads.
  21. So unless you come up and pitch well right away as a rookie you're not MLB ready? He's pitched 100+ very good innings at Rochester, the major league team is rolling out the corpse of Nick Blackburn for the 50th time and crossing there fingers. Why the hell would a team (in a losing season) not commit to it's best pitching prospect for the season. There's nothnig to lose, so commit to the kid and see if he's got a role in 2013 or not.
  22. Last season Ozzie worked the Sox pen the way IMO a closer should be used. Couple lefties coming up he went with Sale, couple righties he went with Santos. Hell he'd start an inning with Sale getting 1 or 2 outs and end it with Santos (or vice versa) It's how a bullpen should be managed, once this current crop of "old-school" managers get taken out back and put outta there misary like Old Yellow we'll soon see smart progressive managers begin to take over.
  23. 6 cost controlled years of a good catcher and over 12 million in salary for 121 slightly above average innings. **** me
