  1. I don't know what the hell you're talking about...but I assume you agree wiith me that Marquis was destined to fail the moment the pen hit the paper on that contract.
  2. The only reason people want to keep Morneau is for personal reason cause they root for the guy or the MVP he didn't deserve in 2006 still means something to them. If the Dodgers want him and are willing to pick up even a penny of that contract you make that trade and you don't even think twice about it.
  3. They could have saved the Twins 4 million dollars with the simple phone call.
  4. The signing was a disaster cause everyone and there mom knew Marquis has no shot in the AL. Might as well rolled the dice with the anti-christ Slowey for less money and an actually shot at pitching decent.
  5. The Cleveland Native Americans.
  6. I don't think he'll come close to 2009 again either cause that's one of the great pitching seasons in the history of baseball. The bottom line is I think Greinke would do wonders for the Twins, he's young, he's stayed healthly (unlike Sanchez) I think the Minnesota market would be a good place for him over larger markets on the coasts and he's a really good pitcher. The Twins aren't gonna sign him and I've already resigned myself to that. But will I take 45-50 million for Jackson or Sanchez or 100 million for Greinkie...well I'll take the 100 million.
  7. I'm personally not gonna trip about a losing 1 mph over 3 years? That's gonna happen to alot of pitchers. Plus Geinke was never a guy who relied on velocity so I personally don't think it's a big deal. "Last real success was 2009" Are you ****ing kidding me? Saddled by a high BABIP...you ignore. Saddled by a horse**** defense in Milwaukee...you ignore. If you don't want the Twins to sign Greinkie that's fine, it's not like it was gonna happen either way. But don't go off on some bull**** about last year success and peripherals going the wrong way while you openly choose to ignore some pretty loud stats that have hurt his numbers.
  8. If you choose to ignore the bad luck he's had the last two seasons that's your own problem. He's been better then league average and has a nice ERA+ 120 even while being saddled with a high BABIP.
  9. Well who the hell is gonna repeat an ERA+ 205 He's been saddled with some bad luck over the lack couple seasons but give me around 8.2 K/9 and a 2.3 BB/9 anyday of the week over Jackson and Sanchez.
  10. I don't put much stock into Zack's 2010 as he was completly checked out on a bad Royals team. Not how you would like to see a professional handle his ****, but nevertheless it happened. In 2011 he was saddled with a .318 BABIP and even this year his BABIP is .326. I think Zack's just fine and far and away better then Jackson and Sanchez.
  11. Small sample size much?
  12. Does Chicago even have the pieces to make a Greinkie trade? The Sox farm system is a baron waste-land. If it's between the Sox with the Rangers and Angels instrested, those teams could easily trump anything Chicago can offer.
  13. That's part of the problem, they won't break the bank of a Greinke type arm and a Jackson or Sanchez signing does nothing but make this team a little less worse.
  14. Getting Felix is a move a team makes that puts them over the top, the Twins are very very very far from being anywhere near that point.
  15. I'd be fine with the Twins getting nothing back if the Giants paid it all, the 14 million in cash to spend will be worth more then some prospect.
  16. It seems that teams are hot and heavy for Josh, be stupid not to atleast take offers.
  17. If I were the Reds I'd rather just give up a lower level prospect for Juan Pierre then give up something larger for Span. I don't think he's that massive up an upgrade to give up a solid arm for. NTM I've always been a huge Stubbs fan and believe he'll figure it out. He's always gonna have some contact issues, but I still really like him.
  18. Not that it matters, but I'd take Belt over Parmelee.
  19. Sure Jim Bowden, that totally make sense. Why SF needs another outfielder after getting great run outta Pagan, Melky and Blanco I don't know. But who cares...you're Jim Bowden. You work for the four letter network, you don't have to make sense.
  20. Like the Minnesota Twins? Hell the Twins office probably love his lack of stuff but strike throwing ability.
  21. His Blackburn-esqe K-rate and lack of groundball has no chance to succeed in the majors. Jesus what happened to this kid.
  22. As crazy as it seems cause I don't know where in the hell his velocity has gone. I don't think it's crazy to try a buy-low on Matusz and pray to the stars that his velocity returns.
  23. I used modest cause it's a nice in between, not good not bad...just modest defense (which I would be more then happy with) In the end I'd take Hicks tool and abilities to effect a game while also playing an up the middle position over Arcia. Doesn't mean I don't like Arcia, it's just my personal thing.
  24. Which we all know won't happen, so were right back to where we were.
  25. I wouldn't put him in the Delmon/Willingham class, but I wouldn't put him in the JD Drew class either. From everything I've read he's a modest defender. Won't kill ya but also don't shock the world.
