  1. Intentionally ignorant. OK. So I do it just to upset you. Sorry. I could care less about metrics. And that's a great response from a moderator
  2. Don't know if it is or not. I really didn't even think about it. Happened so quickly. I mean if it was intentional, Why?
  3. He's had some big moments. So has Gallo Larnach Kiriloff Lewis Miranda Farmer Solano and a slew of others. Are you implying that he's been tearing it up and there's no need for him to do anything different. Compare his numbers. April and May. I'd just like to see more consistency. Too many short highs and long lows. Does his WPA include his defensive metrics. Because he's not in CF anymore.
  4. There was some rumblings about this team and how they lacked heart. These guys came back tonight. And with little support from the superstars. That a good win for them
  5. 10 min later and the negative vibe left. And they're all great again.
  6. I wouldn't call it a fascination to extend starters to their limits. What is Varlands limit? 100 pitches? He wasn't there yet. So why not let him start the 8th? The bullpen used 3 guys for the final 2 innings. The bullpen btw is the reason the Twins aren't 10 or more games over .500. Not the lineup. I have more confidence in the lineup and hitting than I do in the bullpen
  7. I don't think MLB teams can trade draft picks
  8. You mention Steer and CES defensive limitations and yet you want to see what Miranda and Julien do over the course of the next 6 years. Both of them are limited defensively as well. In fact with Buxton as DH where do you see Miranda playing with Lewis manning 3rd and Kiriloff at 1st.
  9. The warmer weather and ear plugs to drown out the incessant booing. Sounds about right.
  10. You're right. He just started swinging this past 2 weeks.
  11. Oh so it doesn't trickle down to the lower levels? The philosophy must be different there. I see
  12. Aren't the coaches the same for Lewis as all the "bad" hitters on the Twins? If it's all on these coaches, then shouldn't Twins fan's expect the same results from Lewis? Why the optimism? In fact I'm not sure why's the Twins even went down to Houston. They surely can't be expecting to win any games there and then they have Cleveland next! Might as well throw in the towel now. Don't tell that to the Celtics who were down 3-0 a week ago.
  13. Is there an article where the FO blamed the fans for last year's meltdown? I'd love to read that
  14. I think we had this discussion a few months ago. I said then that the Twins would have a hard time cutting anyone that money was owed. Unlike the Yankees who cut loose a guy who they owe way more than the Twins owe Pagan. I'm not sure if it's a monetary thing either. More of an embarrassing thing because nobody likes to hear the phase "I told you so" I'm sure that behind the scenes the Twins are working with Pagan. His stuff isn't terrible. You've seen it, as have I. I think it's a mental thing more than a physical thing. Low leverage, high leverage. Makes no difference. Cut him and wish him well.
  15. No. I apologize for calling you out. No excuses
  16. Your implication is that rosters change drastically from year to year and that there's no continuity. Which is not true. You made a blanket statement and now you're narrowing it down to tonights game?
  17. Really. Polanco out. Kepler out. Larnach and Gordon out. Those 4 would most likely be starting this game. So the only 1st years in Minnesota who would be playing tonight would be Vasquez, Gallo and Farmer
  18. Supposedly the gm#2 (Correa) told him he needed to come in more fit for the 162 game season. Apparently Miranda wore down towards the end of last season
  19. Less wear and tear on Gallo who pulled up slightly this past weekend
