  1. I really want to see Beyonce naked. Do you think porn stars are nymphos that put out on the first date? I do. How come I didn't go to Rio while I was single? Guess it wouldn't really matter anyway... right ... right... right... The ... is supposed to be nudging with my elbow in case you didn't know it already. Did you know that the tip of a wind turbine blade spins at about 300 miles per hour? I like cheese.
  2. As do I. Unfortunately, we are going to be force fed the BS that he is legit and made strides in the offseason. Whatever. I would take Farve now over Ponder.
  3. Waste of time with this article. A "number 1" is a guy that can go out and dominate a game and does it consistently. In my opinion, there are a number of guys each year that you can call a number 1 pitcher. People have off years with injuries or other issues where they don't perform as well, but I don't think you have to be a ****ing HOF to be considered a number 1 pitcher. There is reason people get to the HOF, its because they were great. I would say in any year there are 10-20 guys I would call a number 1 pitcher, the next 30 would be number 2's and the range for number 3 and 4 or 5 is all dependent on the pitcher. For example, Diamond is in the top 15 in the MLB for ERA. That's pretty damn good. At this point, I'd still consider him a strong number 3 because the lack of an out pitch places a lot of emphasis on the fielders. This level of success just isn't sustainable. My point is, labeling 1-5 starting pitchers is going to vary. While I think number 1 pitchers are the elite group of every year, Sickles thinks in order to be a number 1 you need a ticket to Cooperstown. Who knows, maybe Dave thinks everybody could be a number 1 if they battled hard enough!
  4. Pedro had a great start today. I'm forever calling him Pedro.
  5. I ****ing love this guy. Awesome stereotypical Jamaican personality combined with an amazing talent. This was the only event I had to see this summer, and it didn't disappoint.
  6. Slama the door!!! *dumbasswordfilternotlettingmepostallcaps
  7. They must really be convinced that Plouffe is going to play well enough to dump Valencia. Not that I disagree with the move, just think its putting a lot of faith in a guy they can't be certain about.
  8. Last year or the year before someone said he had the best glove at 1b in the system. That doesn't mean he'll win a gold glove, but it gives me hope that he'll at least be a plus defender.
  9. To me E-Town is just BP now. So many guys have done well there any failed miserably in Beloit that it just mean as much. Plus, he's been pretty bad up until this year so lets wait a little before getting too excited.
  10. I don't think anyone should have a problem sitting those guys a little more often. Give them an easy end to the season. Mauer, Morneau, and Doumit have already surpassed their number of games played last season and Willingham is on pace to pass his. I don't see any problem with sitting those guys more often, especially in September. Let them finish feeling strong and not beaten down so they can have a good offseason.
  11. I see Dozier as a guy that has all the tools of a solid MLB SS. I don't think he will ever be an all-start, but able to post a 700 OPS and play solid defense. Going forward I think he is the type of guy that you want around. He wont ever require a huge contract and will take 3-4 year deal in his prime. I don't see any of the prospects knocking him out of the MI for the next 2+ years.
  12. Really Lev? Its pretty funny lately we've had a few topics that I side with the left on... Anyway, saying discrimination isn't apart of this is a reach. Being married has benefits in this country, mostly tax benefits. When anyone specifies that one group (man and woman) can be married and another group (man and man or woman and woman) cannot, you are discriminating and not giving equal rights to all groups. I could care less about the church and who can be married under God, we are just talking being married by law. I don't see why its that complicated actually. I don't understand the anti-gay position at all. This doesn't effect them other than give them a right that others aren't granted.
  13. It wasn't too long ago when Parmelee was considered a very high ceiling prospect by the Twins and other scouts. He might just be having a break-out like Plouffe did last year. I wish we could see some consistent playing time for him with the Twins. I'm not sure if he is a 900+ OPS guy, but he's sure making a case for himself right now. Its really too bad he didn't stick in the OF... but there were reports that he has a very nice glove at 1b.
  14. So I'm considering getting a handgun and wanted some input. I really like the Ruger SR40c or SR9c. Anyone shot them? I had shot a M&P 40, which is very similar and like it except a little part by my thumb that I think will rub and bother me. So anyway, just putting it out there to see if there is any input.
  15. ;);) Damn 4 stupid smilies!!!
  16. The stupidity of the whole issue boggles my mind.
  17. So added flexibility adds to Herrmann's rating? I find that hard to swallow for a number of reasons. Why would he even play OF when the Twins should have much better options? His bat would profile as well below average. I just don't see the love is all. My view of Hick's ceiling is Grady Sizemore, with a little less HR's. Thats why I'd rank him higher I guess. Not too bad I guess. I'm excited to do a top 40 list on this site, since I think there would be much more participation. We start from the top, vote on it, then add one player to the pool of players and vote on the next spot down. Its an awesome winter killer. I wonder if RP will upload our previous lists to share with everyone here.
  18. Who does more drugs, you or Darryl Strawberry?
  19. Yeah right. Maybe when Bert was playing, not this group. When AJ came to the mound the big canadian would have to step in and intimidate.
  20. Paradox. Only 3 roads to choose from and the Twins choose the 4th: mediocrity. RP, can you bring back the mediocre thread from BYTO? Classic meltdown.
  21. 3.2 IP 2 H 0 R 2 BB 3 SO. Not a terrible outing, would like to see less walks. So far on the year 21.2 IP 17 H 4 ER 9 BB 22 SO .92 G/F .200 BAA. For a small sample size not too bad.
  22. Taylor Rogers continues to pitch some very nice games. Felix Jorge with a decent outing as well.
  23. Looking at those stats its hard to argue AGAINST Levi. I like Santana too, but Levi is a better fielder, hits with more power and walks. If Santana had better plate discipline and was better at stealing bases, he would be a much better player. As it is, he doesn't walk enough or hit with enough power to be anything but a utility MI. It could always develop though...
  24. 6 games there this year, 100% fielding and 3.4 range factor. In 2007 61 games .962% with a 4.16 range factor. Not too bad. Think it would be worth a shot at least.
  25. Wow, that changes things a little. Not a surprised they traded him now. I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to sign him as a FA though.
