  1. That's the point, what does he have to work out? He doesn't have any competition in AAA. Its just stupid the year he's had there. He need to get confidence with the Twins. He needs to learn to pitch against MLB hitters. He needs to be with the Twins. Trotting De Vries, Walters and Deduno out there before him is a joke.
  2. I'd argue with that. The Western part of WI is half and half. They are Brewers fans first, and Twins fans second.
  3. So throw a bunch of **** together and hope some other team likes it enough to give up a quality starting pitcher? Not going to happen.
  4. Positive for who? That certainly doesn't help me, or the 99% of other Americans. I have felt less and less sorry for these people and their taxes. Remember, if they have REPORTED income that high, their actual income is most likely much much higher. Why give them breaks when they have so many already? Its crazy. The money is getting more and more lopsided every year. That isn't how this country was supposed to work.
  5. What did he fix to pitch the way he did is my question? I want Hendriks up.
  6. Yes, it is weird. They are just trying to add something since Bert has been gone.
  7. If Deduno could actually locate his pitches, he might have a future. As it is now, his guess is as good as ours to where the ball is going. I think it has to do with his follow through more than anything. It is inconsistent to say the least.
  8. I hope the front office has been humbled into being forced to change their views on some things. If they haven't, its going to be rough being a Twins fan for awhile.
  9. I didn't know the extent of the hazing going on with the Twins. Someone should look into that.
  10. How many HR in TF wouldn't have gone out in Oak?
  11. Careful counting your chickens, Capps is coming in.
  12. How close was that? I am being forced to watch a stupid Cameron Diaz movie on lifetime.
  13. I actually work in the green sector, am I outsourced? LOL. For realz though, some green jobs (like wind) are jobs that get created out of thin air (or wind) and are permanent jobs that inject millions into the economy. At my site alone the 7 guys working there will be paid over .5 million in wages this year. Add in construction workers and sub-contractors and this is an industry that Americans should be supporting. I just like talking about wind, sorry.
  14. Sano continues his great July.
  15. Hicks has had over a month of success now, but Benson has destroyed AA already with sustained success. Plus the 40 man thing and service time blah. I just think Benson still gets first crack at it.
  16. That is true, but the fastballs he is getting he's been missing. I don't think the last few weeks have been bad, but think its about time he connects with one of the few fastballs he is getting in the zone. That said, I had a feeling coming into this game Plouffe would hit one tonight.
  17. Young shortstops make errors. Rarely do they come up and play flawless. People need to relax about his defense.
  18. Thats a good question. His selectivity is a big reason why I wanted consistent playing time. I feel like he's been missing many more pitches lately than he did last month. Obviously he isn't going to hit 10 HR a month, but it makes me want to see more before I anoint him 3b of the future.
  19. I'd say its a pretty good chance he ends the year with the Twins. The only question is when he'll be up and how much he'll be playing.
  20. How is this team competing for a playoff spot?
  21. False. Hendriks has pitched against 8 teams, 7 of which are playoff contenders and the other is MIL who has a great offense. This is not an accurate picture of the kind of pitcher he is. He will get strikeouts. Strikeout rates and minor league success will translate to each level above, it is just usually a little less. There is some kind of ratio that has the projected values based on minor league success. Not the rule, but a good estimate. Slama has had a grand total of 7 IP with the Twins, talk about jumping to conclusions? You did get it right comparing the two though. They both haven't had enough continued playing time to evaluate.
  22. At this point does worrying about that make much sense? They already are in the worst 5 records. Fans will come to see Plouffe, Mauer, Morneau etc. If Willingham gets traded there will be young guys to come watch too.
  23. You don't think Hendriks is an MLB caliber starter?
  24. This argument is a reach. Willingham would be going to a contender in the later part of his career, something many players would love the chance to have. The Twins have little choice but to move an OF at some point in the next year. Arcia looks like he will be knocking on the door sooner than later, with Hicks emerging this year and Benson on his way back the Twins could field an entirely rookie OF next year if they wanted IMO. Get value out of Willingham if you can, his production will be missed, but not unrecoverable.
