    People who want to see Gardy gone, are not watching closely how these Twins keep fighting, even when the game seems to be lost. A team that plays hard is a sign of a very good manager. The Twins are young and not very good yet, but they are working at it and in 2015 or 2016 we will see that Arcia, Parmalee, E. Escobar, Plouffe, Dozier and company are good players. Lets hope it is with the Twins. Lets hope Gardy is here to reap the rewards of his patience.

    It seems that Ryan Eades should be on the list. He was a 2013 2nd round draft pick and has been pitching in Cedar Rapids. He has a terrible 5.82 ERA and he only has 83 K's in 102 innings, but this is his 1st full year of pro ball and looks like a gritty pitcher.

    Josmil Pinto has been cited as a catcher with deficient defensive skills, Since Thursday, July 17 (AAA All-Star Game break) Pinto has played 20 games. He has caught 12 times (60%). Including tonight's unfinished game. He has been the catcher when Darnell, Hamburger (2), Wheeler, Gilmartin & Meyer( 2) won games. These are some stats to think about as we look to our future catching prospects.

    Some stats research is too much for one person. How about a project that a group of people could participate in, Example: Make a list of all the top prospects of all teams playing in the minor leagues. This way, when Cedar Rapids plays Beloit, we can quickly see if the Beloit pitcher is highly rated and which hitters are regarded highly. This can allow TD to make a Series Preview for all minor league series and spotlight critical match-ups. This also will help when writing the post-game synopsis and make it less of a box-score recap. This information could be easily compiled by a group of people and then a few people could work together to keep it up to date.

    Based on their injury and recovery stats, Sano and Buxton should automatically be dropped significantly. Something is wrong with Rosario and he should not be on this list, based on this years stats. Where is Brett Lee ? Why isn't James Beresford and Deibinson Romero included ?

    thanks for the box scores in Schedyke, I think the top article every day should be the previous days Twins game. with box score and standings, Let somebody different write it each day. Lets see if we can discover some budding sportswriters

    I'd like to see the standings and box score of previous Twins Games. That way I would feel no need to check the Strib or PP for Twins game info.

    Perkins threw that one away. I wonder if pitching to Fryer had anything to do with it? I really want Parmalee to win this game for the Twins. Oh well, A shot of Gardy laughing at something. That is why I like Gardy. He enjoys the game and he enjoys his players. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! what a catch !!

    I don't know. If I had to root for the Padres players. would I be a fan ? Please Lord, don't let us lose to these guys.

    If Parmalee finishes the year with an OPS+ of above 100 (currently 103), he is your answer to Left Field. This assumes that Arcia will also have an OPS+ above 90 (currently 98). There are 2 months to play and the Twins will be facing many more inferior pitchers for the rest of the schedule. It will be interesting to see what the final results will be..

    I watch. Even when I dread what I will see. I watch, usually until the last out. These Twins have a way of scoring runs in the late innings, so that there is always hope.I watch. Its a compulsion, but I watch.

    Denard Span was a whole lot more of a player than we expected.

    The problem is that in all circumstances, the runner has the advantage. They can dodge out of the baseline, slide, fake giving up, then dash and slide. The catcher always is at risk of dropping the ball when the runner makes a sudden action. If the intent of the rule is to prevent collisions, there should be some instances where the runner should be out, regardless of where the catcher is standing. The force-out might be the solution and would be the method unless the runner reverses and heads back to 3rd base. That would work in most conceivable instances.

    Parmalee and Arcia's August and September will tell us much about 2015. If they hit in the last 2 months, they will play in 2015. If not .... 2015 is going to be very interesting (in a bad way.

    Hicks needs to be in therapy. He switches from switch hitter to one way hitter and back to switch hitter in one season! He doesn't know his own mind and he doesn't have the confidence to face adversity.
