  1. Ah.... so fitness (and therefore appropriate weight) are important. I certainly hope so. Berrios is possessed and driven, and his actions speak louder than words.
  2. Buxton back to his old habits tonight.
  3. Holland is listed as a switch hitter. A player that doesn't hit, can not hit from both sides of the plate.
  4. Got it working.... it was an adblock update thing.....
  5. mlb.tv won't load. anyone else having this problem? just the spinning circle endlessly. gameday no problem. other streaming... no problem.
  6. Aw, come on, Chief........ I'm surprised at the otherwise intelligent people who are busy judging the past by the standards of the present, something as intellectually dishonest as it is academically unsound, but away we go....... That said...... the Babe sure is special.
  7. And after the home run derby..... Aaron Judge was going to be the new face of baseball. And then the second half of the season happens..... I thought, according to the fervor displayed about the 1/1 draft pick, that Royce Lewis was going to be the MVP! Hey..... anyone can have an MVP season. It does take a full season, though, and not just a month or two. It may as well be Buxton. Or maybe Sano. Or is Sano so first two months of the season?
  8. I always try to be a baseball fan before a Twins' fan. It is not an easy task, but bias and stress is relieved that way. I really don't care what the "most" think, especially if they are biased by being a diehard and passionate fan of a team. Many are Twins' fans first, and baseball fans second. Hence, calling for pitchers to cowardly hit a batter to "have so-and-so's back". Most, at one time, denied the discovery of the solar system, and held tight to the world was flat. I don't care if other's have bias. I am sure guilty of it, at times, even if I try not to be. Just as I don't think that a fast start to a single season makes an all-star, or an "ace", I tend to not grace a quick start with extreme admiration. I don't see any of the observations in both of the articles sighted as "negative". I see them as a valid obervations, and opinion with thoughtful, realistic, common sense approach. And everyone has an opinion, and has the right to one. Plus, you made me laugh by sighting a tweet and the commentary. If you want to deal with "negative", you have the treasure of negativity from the the tweets and comments of the incessant twits.
  9. I think you have reading bias. I don't get the same "tone" from the article you do, Nick Nelson.
  10. Does this mean that Buxton has to wear the same uniform until the burst stops? Hey..... 17 K's today by our Twins against some pretty lame pitching, and it is not even a mention, and Buxton (... and Sano ) was the only one to not strike out! Success and victory can cover up some usually glaring problems. Today.... who cares!!??
  11. Yuk. And not the ha ha yuk. Take it while you can...... luck can run out very quickly. Tic toc. In his last 14.2 innings pitched, he has given up 20 hits, 8 earned runs, and 7 home runs. I don't have to like him. I just hope the inevitable doesn't happen as soon as I expect it will.
  12. 14 Hits. Don't even think about the 17 Ks against the truly mediocre pitchers Toronto used today, and Sano didn't strike out once! Neither did Buxton (the only guy who didn't that played). Revel in what you can.
  13. Dozier not even close to the ball. It is like he totally takes his eye off it at time.
  14. Can't improve your right handed average if you don't get at bats...... now we have the speed on the bases.....
  15. Right handed Vargas. Batting .163. Time to pinch hit.
  16. Just setting them up, eh? Living dangerously.
  17. First two to Goins.... right down the middle, too.
  18. Gibson totally up in the zone and serving up meat. It is amazing Toronto doesn't have more runs. That last pitch to Montero was right down the pipe, too.
  19. Buxton now almost the same BA as Kepler.....
  20. These are some poor at bats with runners in scoring position. Really poor, and against a pitcher in trouble with no control.
