  1. Eddie's back. Come on now Byron!!!
  2. Mauer is really having a year. Good for Joe.
  3. I agree. totally not egregious. Totally "acceptable" to be called either way. Even if it was wrong. Hey... barely wrong is better, than really wrong? Not at first base. Not for a home run. Not for a catch on the grass. Only, still, at home plate. Interested to hear how. Low? Inside? How was it a ball. Just curious.
  4. Ok. I did. 8 times. You like the angle you see? from slightly left field? Do you call it inside missing? low missing? the ball dropped into the catcher's mit, but where it crossed the plate and the accurate robotic eyes tabbed it..... perfect pitch, that the umpire guessed, just missed instead of not. Hey...... it happens tones of times. Do you really think the umpire can see it better from the horrible eye angle (must be like 45 degrees at least where the ball crosses the plate)? Hey, it is what it is, and until it changes, it is just another thing to whine about, argue about, etc....... but it is happening all the time. Were you an umpire? Do you have a bias? If one was a umpire to stay involved on a personal level with the game, do you think that would create a bias?
  5. Those are the ones we have become numb to. The ones that we say could have gone either way. But both batter and pitcher DESERVE the perfect take or the perfect edge of the zone call to be correct!
  6. Look at the MLB pitch fx. perfect pitch. Hard to call it from your living room, eh? especially when so fine.
  7. That was a perfect pitch. Strike. Umpires suck. Instead, we have the perfect corner strike called a ball, and the bases loaded. That is not fair to the players. Umpires can only guess. It affects every game.
  8. Berrios looks horrible. Body language too. Get it together, kid!
  9. I will never ever understand giving up a run to get an out. Never. Not ever. It is tradition, especially early in the game, but how is an extra out, or a runner on first, worse than giving up a run that you could make an out, and not a score? Cain was totally loafing in from third, and he just pulled up on the trip around the bases.
  10. Kepler is officially a weanie with no balls. After that effort last night, and now this.... he is just horrified as he gets close to the walls. It is looking like a real problem.
  11. Cleveland wins again. 17 games in a row! Are the Dodger's the worst team in baseball (1-13 in last 14) or the best (92-49 with a 5 game lead on the next closest)?
  12. Did Mauer close his eyes on that swing?
  13. Belphegor's palindromic prime 1000000000000066600000000000001 spooky. Buxton and Kepler need to STEP IT UP today.
  14. That's true, but with a second wild card, that is a bit skewed to compare it to other seasons without it. But it will still be history if it happens.... and over 100 games lost!
  15. Ask and you will receive..... sometimes.
  16. Three change-ups in a row in the same place to Hosmer not such a great idea, Castro.
  17. Polanco 0-2 today with a .600 OBP!
  18. I'm kinda relieved that Buxton didn't have to see if the golden sombrero fit today with the bases loaded.... Now he can get a lead off hit with no pressure. Maybe. Depending how the bottom of the 8th goes.
  19. This is impressive. These guys are looking like they want to play in the post season!
  20. Rodgers flashing back to Los Angeles....... Get him out of there!!!!
  21. Pressures on. Will Rodgers wilt?
  22. There's that tradition again.... righty righty. He just had to do it. I hope it doesn't bite us.
  23. Yikes. Inning 2 for the Duffey. I don't like to even see him warming up now.
