  1. All three pitches to Joe, right down the middle of the zone. Some would call those mistakes. They seem to be when our pitchers throw pitches there.
  2. To be fair, we haven't had a closer all year. If Kintzler was a closer, he would be closing for the Nats. Belisle certainly isn't one either.
  3. Well, it may. Here's to hoping for continued win one lose one...... win one.
  4. Now 6-6 in September, and all against teams with losing records when we entered the series. Gonna have to do better now, even if 6 are against playoff teams.
  5. As we celebrate this great victory tonight, I see that our Twins are 6-6 in September. This is all against teams with sub .500 records. I hope the boys can bear down and the manager can field the best team and not worry about checking out prospects for next year. Coming up - 6 of the remaining 17 games are against the Yankees (3 games at Yankee Stadium, and now 3 games back of the first wild card and home field, and in case of a tie, we lead the season series 2-1) and 3 on the road against Cleveland! After the upcoming 4 game series against Toronto at home, 10 games on the road. We have not taken advantage of gaining ground on .500 against losing teams. It will be imperative to be more than a .500 team to close out the schedule.
  6. Good thing Eddie ignored the bunt sign! Homer Hero!
  7. Belisle coming out for a second inning. Yikes.
  8. Pitch f/x says Grossman just struck out on pitches 3 and 4.
  9. Molitor looking at the scorecard to see who he can have bunt.....
  10. I hear Heroes again....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBuwC4VJi50
  11. OK boys.... GET 'ER DONE!!!
  12. I could swear that Molitor is signaling the Padre batter to bunt !
  13. Double play and all is well.
  14. Surely not there, but it was still funny.
  15. .129 for Kepler to .311 for Adrianza against lefties. I get the move, but a guy can't improve against lefties if he doesn't get to bat against them.
  16. Molitor has no faith in Kepler, it seems. Go traditional. Lefty righty.
  17. I seem to remember that you have already claimed many times, that we won't. Already. Is this your veiled attempt at hope?
  18. I could have sworn I heard David Bowie's Heroes playing in the background for Dozier's at bat. Dozier must hot have heard it.
  19. You must have missed the game yesterday.
  20. Trusting a run run lead to our bullpen....... not a good idea.
  21. Missed the mistake again. How come they don't miss our pitcher's mistakes?
  22. Castro drops a ball that he is going to throw, and now just misses that catch. No harm on either, but not so much representative of a defensive specialist. 2 homers yesterday, and he is turning into an offense first backstop. Why can't these guys bunt! If they are going to be called on to, or if they chose to, it would be nice to DO IT WELL!
  23. We could sure use some of those 16 runs in this game......
  24. So is the pitch a "mistake" when the batter misses it? Because we always here from the pitchers in the post game... "if it wasn't for those two mistakes...." or something like that, for the meat that became home runs or drove in deciding runs. If the meat was missed by the batter, it never come up.
