  1. Seems to me he is an Eddy. Always/usually a couple hits and a walk, or a hit and a couple walks, at least, always thinking he can just throw something down the pipe and get away with it. Yup. Definitely an Eddy, who I was also so glad to see go, especially with LaTroy in his prime being foolishly wasted as a setup man to the EGE, and Eddy doesn't seem to be much of a coach, either, when you look at the performance of the bullpen he is responsible for. Not going to be a Nathan, either, who topped all of those referenced.
  2. Geez...... I guess I didn't make myself clear enough.
  3. I'm "Sick of Seeing Molitor IN THE DUGOUT!"
  4. Times have sure changed. From what I am reading on this thread...... most would have traded that whole team as they aged. Now how smart would that have been. Personally, it was one of my favorite times, because the team stayed together. That, and I was a teenager from 65-70, and loved baseball.
  5. And I disagree. He is not a Twin. He is a tourist. A visitor. A Rental for a year, or hopefully, half a year. He is bought and sold on the marketplace. And his shtick is tired and trite, and I have never liked the guy. No need for me to like him, much less love him now, just because some GM that never was a Twins fan signed him and made me have to watch him in critical moments of games. 5 blown saves leads the majors. Yes, it is a big deal.
  6. Good and lucky are two different things. Trade value is as high now as it will get. We will see if any other team is fooled.
  7. Thanks again....... Oh.... the Cedar Rapids link is the Fort Myers game again. Here is the link of the game. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=g_box&gid=2018_07_02_cedafx_wisafx_1
  8. Trade the guy when he has now become what all wanted, and get someone(s) else that takes another 5 years to do the same? If ever? Not the kind of "haul" that I like in my baseball team. Let's just always have strangers and visitors and tourists passing through like this years crop of Morrison, Lynn, Duke, and the likes of LaMarre, Motter and Wilson....... cheer for stangers and/or watch them fail. Even if they win, "who are those guys?" What does this team still do with home growns and prospects anyway? With few exceptions... play in the minors until they are 27-29, and have no value. Maybe I am wrong. I mean, look at Atlanta and Oakland this year. Giving the farm a chance to graduate, and giving the grads consistent time in the show, and something other than what is happening here can have a chance to happen. I still don't like a team full of strangers that are just passing through.
  9. This is why, even up 8-1 and 9-3, you still try to compete and take every advantage you can, and score score score, never taking the foot off the gas. Right, BD? When 6, 9, and 10 runs isn't enough!
  10. Looks like the OP will be even sicker, now. This was like an invite to pile it on.
  11. Amazing how often professional tennis players withstand much more rigorous levels of physical activity for hours..... and stay hydrated and can handle the extreme heat. The Australian Open is always involved with a heat spell, it seems. Baseball players ..... not so much. It really shows how these guys really aren't in that good of shape, and are not coached to be ready with prep the night before, etc. But if one is suffering from heat exhaustion, it is nothing to take lightly, that is for sure.
  12. I don't agree. The last two months of 2017 it wasn't a terrible roster. Other than the replacement pickups, it is the same. If it wasn't terrible then, why would the same players be considered terrible now? Other than the same players have been way worse, and the coaches and managers haven't been able to work their observations into getting them out of their funk, which, I do believe, is their jobs. If the player(s) is/are performing well, you don't coach them. You leave them the hell alone. If they are slumping, and not performing up to their previous level or potential, then it is the manager and coaches job to "fix" them immediately if not sooner! This is a classic example of wholesale failure, and the same in Rochester. Other than a few prospects, the whole minor league system is disappointing. Winners have become losers this year. It is very telling to me. All teams have injuries. It is not the injuries. Plenty of teams have more than the Twins. To use injuries as an excuse...... is just being in denial.
  13. The Front office has filled the injury spots with dumpster diving replacements. It really is pathetic. I like to think things have changed, but with this roster... not much, bottom line. Everyone, every team, has injuries etc. Poor excuse. These guys should be able to play at least .500 baseball. Molitor is just too old. Too old for the new game. This whole team is really sad to watch. So very disappointing. Daily. And now they just stack the roster with tired rejects instead of culture the farm and let them lose like these clowns. Makes one want to just not watch this year.
  14. Gibson has gone over 100 pitches now, 4 games in a row. 118, 103, 105, and 113 this game. And the two before that, 101 and 99. For the last 7 games, even with last night, he is an unsupported 1-4 with a 2.96 ERA, 45.2 innings, only given up 39 hits, with 14 walks, 38 Ks, and a 1.16 WHIP. That is a work horse of a pitcher. I hope it doesn't wear him out.
  15. Too bad Morrison can't be sent to Fort Myers and get fabulously readjusted, too.
  16. .... but let me (you) take this opportunity to be political? hmmm... especially when it is total pat on the back opinion. Perhaps The Sports Bar forum is the place to discuss this high class? http://twinsdaily.com/forum/12-the-sports-bar/
  17. Two ways to virtually say the same thing. Respect is a judgement. One that doesn't focus.... is lazy. One way uses imagery, and the other seems to come from a suit and tie. But they both say the same thing.
  18. #1 can't handle AAA pitching so far this year, either. And #3 can't handle high A yet, either. Oh... but let us be kind...... it is a small sample size.... Personally, I think they both just need better, more effective coaching at the MLB level. That is the pitching they need to learn to hit.
  19. Should we review the TD posters' preseason projections for Buxton and Sano? Maybe MVP meant something other than MVP?
  20. ?? Here is no error in the official box.... am I missing something?
  21. But apparently, you can stay on the prospect list here on TD indefinitely....... like Garver..... wait! There is no longer a #15! Perhaps you can finally not be a prospect on this list! Exactly. Did the full game yesterday with a homer and 2 Ks call for a rest? Is he OK?
  22. Any time Wilson gets a hit, it is a monumental event. If there is an RBI included, one may feel the earth rumble.
