    Altuve should win it. Higher ave and obp with about the same runs and rbi. Homeruns aren't everything after all. It would have been nice if Dozier had shown up the first two months when a good season was still possible.

    Then the blame is on the minor league coaching staffs. If they don't know fundamentals when they get to the majors it's not the managers fault.

    The thing is the research the stat guys have done, that I have seen anyway, says the batting order order doesn't really make a big difference. Maybe from absolute best to absolute worst is only worth one or two wins over the entire season. But I understand fans want something to talk about and I'm not trying to stop your discussion just think it's futile.

    Will changing the batting order make the pitching better? They are scoring enough runs (most of the time) they aren't losing because of lineup construction but because of the worst pitching in baseball.

    If the Twins hire Gardy as President of Baseball Ops and he hires Rick Anderson as GM then we can all worry! Greinke was only money and if the Owner wants to spend some of his billions on a very good player I won't complain. If they use it as an excuse later on using budget constraints as an excuse for doing nothing then I would complain.
