  1. The team is underperforming, but as for hot seat I will say mildly warm. You are mid-season. Realistically I say thinking this team would win 90 games before the season would be optimistic. The hardest part of their schedule is behind them. If they end the season 2 games under .500 I would heat up that seat under everyone dramatically. As for the current moment, there is a lot of baseball to be played.
  2. He has been hitting the ball hard, BABIP should normalize. But until then the outs kinda suck.
  3. With the more balanced schedule coming into play this year, probably wouldn't be much of a difference.
  4. I said it last start, when Joe is locating that fastball he is deadly. When he is missing, he is prone to getting beaten up. All fastballs from the the HR's in the first inning moved over the heart of the plate, none stayed on the black where they needed to be.
  5. Colome was taken out of the closer role before April ended and given to Rogers/Robles. He was a part in 4 losses in that time period though, but less than a month isn't THAT slow, especially coming off the 2020 season he had. The only reason he got it back because Rogers got injured in July and never returned.
  6. Gray already gave up the go ahead HR to Ozuna anyways. The play on Harris should have been made by AK or Gray and they should have been out of the inning. Not to mention that Acuna is the front runner for MVP, it's not like some slouch took Pagan deep. Sometimes you just get beat by great players. The Twins got beat by Strider and Acuna. Sometimes it's okay to not throw blame around and admit you got beat by great guys. 🤷‍♂️
  7. Good lord. The Twins win 4/5 then lose one game on the road to the ace of quite possibly the best and hottest team in baseball and everyone jumps off the deep end again.
  8. It's too bad Gray couldn't finish out the 7th. I'm surprised they let him pitch to Harris, who already had two solid hits against him tonight.
  9. Dylan Crews is going to be a helleva player
  10. Strider is a damn good pitcher too.
  11. Acuna beats a lot of pitchers
  12. 6 very solid innings from Gray if he's done for the day.
  13. Hopefully his career is just getting started!
  14. 3rd ball in the last 2 games Correa has hit 100 MPH+ off the bat that went for outs. Obviously the puts aren't fun, but encouraging he is hitting the ball that hard.
  15. And then the Twins would carry a 3rd catcher and lose a bench spot. And besides, Buxton does go thru streaks, but he's a much better option at the plate overall than Jeffers is.
  16. If the Twins training staff don't think that Byron can play in the field, why do we need to direct any hate? Max is getting heat because Wallner is playing well in AAA and deserves the ABs. Buck is fresh off a new contract, he isn't going anywhere. Continuing to hate on Buck not paying the field is pointless if the staff has determined he can't.
  17. IMO there's no way Lewis or Lee are going anywhere. I know Goldy is the reigning MVP, but he's soon to be 36 and outside of 2019 it's the lowest it's been in over a decade. That being said.... I'm not sure who the Twins would offer. If the Cards move him, the deadline would probably be when his value is at its highest.
  18. I'd be pretty shocked at this point if Mr. Ryan isn't invited to Seattle for the game to join Duran.
  19. Can every thread not be derailed or move to cut Kepler, Gallo and/or complain about coaching?
  20. I'm willing to bet that Royce doesn't see AAA unless he is rehabbing an injury. He's here to stay.
