  1. Walking batters hitting .167 and .182. Really just unacceptable.
  2. C'mon Gray, finish your night off with a big K
  3. Pablo and the dreaded first inning, at least he got out of it unscathed. Can we get a 1st inning opener just for him? That would certainly work right?
  4. If Jax doesn't get hosed on the missed call to Otani, the game goes to the 8th tied. I might be biased but calls going against the Twins seem to be happening too often lately.
  5. Garlick is being added because he's on the 40 man roster and historically has hit left handed pitching very well. They face 2 lefties this week and Max is due off the IL in 5 days. It very much makes sense why he is getting called up. You don't start releasing and depleting your depth in May, especially a team with contending aspirations. Young players will get a shot, but why the need to rush it and push others out? Hosmer is 33 and signed a small 1 year deal and had been awful on a team that probably won't contend, I don't see the parallels with him on anything with the Twins.
  6. LLLLEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW
  7. Building a bullpen is harder than just throwing money at it. Very few relievers are good year in and year out. Your top 5 RP free agents coming out of last year were: Edwin Diaz, signed for $20M per. Will miss the season Kenley Jansen, signed $16M per. 4.26 ERA, 3.30 FIP so far Aroldis Chapman, signed $3.8 per. 3.24 ERA, 2.04 FIP so far. Having his best season since 2017, but has major character issues Craig Kimbrel, signed $10M per. 6.60 ERA, 4.50 FIP so far Taylor Rodgers, signed $11M per. 4.73 ERA, 6.08 FIP. Who else would you have had them signing? I would have liked to see an addition in the offseason as well, but it's not as easy as tossing money at.
  8. Pretty much between 10th and 12th in major relief pitching category. It could be better, but it could surely be worse.
  9. Meh. Pagan has given up more than 1 run in 2 of his 16 outings and last night was the first long ball he has allowed this year. Yes, both of those innings were blow ups, but overall he has been pretty effective this season. Yes, both outings were major blow ups, but a much bigger elephant in the room to me is the lack of hitting with the bases loaded. I am not saying I trust the guy in tight situations, but the team has bigger problems at the moment.
  10. With two scheduled lefties coming up in the Angels series, it's probably the right move.
  11. Lousy roster? We being serious or just an overly knee jeek reaction to a dissipointing loss?
  12. So that's what it looks like getting a hit with the bases loaded looks like, hopefully some guys on the field are taking notes.
  13. Pagan getting squeezed or just missing?
  14. De Leon strikes out Betts and Freeman on 6 pitches. Just like we predicted.
  15. Things came crashing down last season because the amount of injuries brought in players who had no business seeing regular time on the field.
  16. And the Dodgers have left more on the bases than the Twins have today. 9 outs to go, go get um boys.
  17. It shouldn't matter where they are batting in the lineup. They are professional hitters, whether they are hitting 1st or 7th, it's crazy to blame the manager about the inability to hit with the bases loaded because of batting order.
  18. RBI are incredibly important, but they are still very much also an Opportunity stat.
  19. The inability to get anything with the bases loaded is almost comical at this point. I know it will somewhat even out at some point, but good lord. I've got no problem hitting for Trevor there, but I would much rather see Garlick pinch hitting against lefties than Solano at this point.
  20. He hasn't played anywhere else this season yet, so he's not wrong. I still except him back playing some center sometime this summer.
  21. Saving Taylor for later in case of a pinch running potential situation?
  22. On the radio feed that was LOUD off the bat.
  23. Elbow pain for May......probably not what Dodger fans want to hear
