  1. Alex is going to make the FO make a decision soon
  2. Ober to start tomorrow.
  3. What's with the odd start time today?
  4. His first "loss" he threw 5 innings of 1 run ball and the Twins lost 1-0. His 3rd loss he threw 2 innings before getting hit by a liner and gave up 1 run, the bullpen gave up 10. he was terrible yesterday, but this going out of the way thing to make Kenta seem a lot worse than he has been is wild. If he had Joe Ryan run support he would be 2-1 with a no decision.
  5. The Headrick move back to AAA has already been announced.
  6. So what you are suggesting? Rocco and Co. knew the bullpen session went badly, lied to the media and fans and still put him out there to start? What good would that do anyone? Isnt it reasonable that the bullpen session went fine and something happened while he was throwing yesterday?
  7. 8 2/3 innings so far, he hasn't allowed a hit OR walk yet, while striking out 10. Damn impressive.
  8. With no options, the Twins just need to decide if they are ready to cut bait with Gordon. He hasn't been as bad as the numbers suggest....but how long of a leash does he get?
  9. Winder would seemingly be the obvious choice, I think? Made 5 rehab stints and last was 3 innings on Sunday, so would be good to go if need be tomorrow. Maeda to the IL seems inevitable right now.
  10. In the last 7 games before today Kepler was slashing: .350/.391/.500. It's a small sample size, but he has been one of the better hitters as of late. Also, Larnach hit 3rd, not Jeffers, he was brought it as a replacement late.
  11. If you are on Page 5 of comments and click to go to page 6, it takes you to the bottom and you have to scroll back up to the top to read comments. You can goo back, but it takes you back to page 5.
  12. Yes, mine does it too and it is semi- annoying.
  13. He went 1-2-3 in the 3rd. I'm not sure why he wasn't pulled after back to back hits in the 4th though.
  14. Buxton has said the goal is to play in 130 games this season. Getting angry he isn't playing everyday isn't worth your time, because it's going to happen. On top of that he's started 21 of 25 games this year. Jorge hadn't played more than 4 straight days until yesterday. The Twins easing him back with an off-day isn't crazy. Pushing either of them in April just seems reckless.
  15. And Buck and Jorge did, who are absent from this game? You've made it very clear you hate off days, but they are going to happen when they don't want to push guys, especially those coming back from injury. The constant angst just gets tiresome. In other news. Holy cow, Rocco hung Kenta out to dry. This HAS to end with an IL stint, right?
  16. I know you are going to harp on this all season long, but none of those guys had major off-season surgery.
  17. Agreed. 5 games in 5 days freshly coming of the IL probably had a lot to do with the day off but yeah sucks seeing a guy hitting the ball like him out of the lineup.
  18. No Jorge either. Here's hoping to the bats jump on German early.
  19. Not to mention the White Sox sit 10 games under .500....which just gives me unbridled joy.
  20. Big props to Joe Ryan in this one. He gave up a lot of hard contact in the first couple innings. After the Yanks tied in the game in 5th on that error, he really buckled down and retired the last 7 batters he faced.
  21. They already had him up in the 8th in case the Yankees pushed a few across and he was up last night. I'd rather see him throw tonight with a 4 run lead than possibly not pitch tomorrow because he got up in the pen twice in a row. And it's the Yankees, slam the door.
  22. The rumors of Jorge's great demise were possibly overstated
  23. Trevor Megill DFA'd to make room for Stewart on the 40 man.
  24. About time Larnach got one to fall, he has been stinging the ball all day
