  1. Phil Coke declines option and becomes a free agent. With Duensing and Thompson struggling is he worth a look to bring in as a left handed member out of the pen?
  2. You could make a pretty long highlight video of the White Sox play while playing Benny Hill music after this one.......and I'd love every second of it.
  3. First multi hit game for Buxton??
  4. If Kennys could have squared that one up and not hit off the handle it was probably headed 400+ feet
  5. So......that's an error on Cabrera? WTF call is that? If anything give it to Ramirez!
  6. I'll go out on a limb and say I don't think Revere makes throw.
  7. At least he had a good AB and hit the ball hard. I really liked not seeing him chase those out of the strike zone. The pick off fooled him so badly though
  8. And I am guessing that team would immediately regret that decision. As I have mentioned in other threads where "trade for Tulo" has come up: 2015 H/R splits: H: .339/.373/.517 R: .277/.299/.438 Career H/R splits: H: .324/.396/.562 R: .274/.346/.467/.813 He simply isn't the same player away from Coors Field. Is he still an above average player? For sure.....but his overall statistics are mis-leading. Add to the fact he is on the wrong side of 30, rarely stays healthy and is owed $20M per year for the next 5 years? He wouldn't be worth the prospects, especially if we think that Polonco could be a serviceable ML shortstop in the next 1.5 years.
  9. I haven't gotten to see that many games lately, but is Joe really doing that badly in the field? For the month of June: Top 10 3B: .148/.190/.296 Mauer: .173/.271/.250 Hunter: .208/.296/.271 If your name isn't Dozier, no one is hitting since the calendar turned over to May....it's not just Joe.
  10. In the interview Molitor said he thinks Sano is athletic enough and playing the OF is not out of the realm of possibilities. It's such a general statement. Does it mean now? In the future? I highly doubt they would have Miguel learn RF on the fly in the big leagues. Molitor is a HOF player and a 1st year manager. Calling him a HOF manager might be worded a little wrong.
  11. Baseball reference has his oWAR at 1.5 on offense and 2.1 WAR overall last year and an OPS+ of 107. If you don't think you can find worse, you aren't looking hard enough.
  12. At this point I think you make that decision when Kepler, Vargas and Sano are all pushing their way into the lineup for AB's. As of right now Vargas isn't hitting, Sano has never played 1B and Kepler is still in AA. The only sunk cost is Mauer's salary this season. The $23M per for 2016, 2017 and 2018 are 100% guaranteed future costs. Mauer's OPS+ of 90 this year could be a whole lot worse for all the talk of getting benched and flat out retiring.
  13. I disagree. If Infante gets voted to start, he takes away a spot from Kipnis or Dozier more than likely. A team's fandom shouldn't be gauged on how many internet votes they can achieve. Let the best players play in the game and let the fans choose the last guy off the bench if you really want a fan vote.
  14. I will say this, with social media and quite frankly the internet it's much easier for a casual fan to know and follow baseball's top prospects.
  15. I think would make for a great 4th OF at this point when he comes back. He plays decent OF defense, he would provide munch needed speed off the bench and at least IMO, is a better overall player and better long term asset than Robinson is at this point.
  16. If this was even in the plans you would assume they would shift Sano and at least give him some defensive innings in AA at 1B. I really see no way they continue to play him at 3B and then bring him with no reps at 1B.
  17. Trying to ruin or not, the line he put up in his last start wouldn't have mattered if he started or not. 5 runs, 2 HR and got exactly zero outs.
  18. Seriously Buxton doesn't run, he just glides
  19. It's great to see Escobar with some good at bats. We could use some of the Escobar of 2014 up at the plate.
  20. Attaboy Bux, gotta love that southern drawl.
  21. I don't mind it. Let him get his feet wet. He will be at the top of the order soon enough.
