    He will be 29 in the offseason, he has walked as many as he has struck out this season and has a WHIP of 1.50 in AAA. I wish Caleb luck in San Diego, but it's not like they just lost a 22 year old with electric stuff

    The first year wasnt a rebuilding year though it was just a disaster.

    Or you could just not group together "elite prospects" and assume they mature all at the same pace. How many elite prospects missed all of 2014? How many other elite prospects didn't play AAA ball? How many other elite prospects have played less than a half season above A ball and are playing right now?

    Year 6!? Where you coming up with this? Were they rebuilding when winning the division in 2010? Hell they weren't rebuilding in 2011 when injuries and everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The max you could say is they are in year 4 of a rebuild. Spending what's necessary doesn't always work. Toronto has been spending for 10+ years. The Pohlad's aren't just going to change they way they think and say...."screw it, let's pump an extra $100 million into payroll this year." It just doesn't work that way.

    I just can't see it. Torii has been almost downright awful with the bat. Since the break: 57 AB, .193/.230/.351. 3 HR, 8 RBI, 2BB to 14K. Maybe I'm in denial, but there's no way they bring him back unless it's in a non-playing position.

    The Twins All-Star 2B also went 2-17 with 2 singles, zero extra base hits, zero RBI and 7 K. It was a bad series for almost everyone on the roster.

    Mauer. isn't. getting. traded. or. cut. Get it through your heads. It's not like it isn't brought up every couple of days on TD.

    How is getting thinner? On the bench they replaced Fryer with Hermann.....the bench didn;t get stronger, but it surely didn't get weaker.

    With so many young players, mistakes are going to come out. I don't see how you can blame anyone but Plouffe on getting picked off yesterday.

    I hate everything about this post. Do you really think the Twins players feel slapped in the face they didn't bring in players? I'm sure the ones that still have jobs don't. I am guessing a few veterans feel they could have used some reinforcements, but it's only the beginning of August. I'm sure guys, especially the young ones are quitting on the team because the front office didn't bring in players to help them make the playoffs. No one looking towards future money, playing time and a future quits on anything like this. These guys are professionals, competitive and want to win. Did the bats go through a little slump the last 10 games or so? Sure. Are they quitting? Please. You really hope the attendance plummets huh? That's less money towards future teams. Do you hope they lose as well? I just don't get this line of thinking. Sorry I am ranting. /rant

    Is there any evidence or anything out there about changes they made with Burdi? I have heard it mentioned and blamed on the coaching staff, but haven't read anything they might have done. Obviously I haven't seen him pitch.

    I wouldn't call it fear it all. I think in Molitor's mind having runners on 2nd and 3rd with Hicks and Dozier getting at bats had a higher chance of advancing the game than Robinson/Hunter, Hicks and Dozier with runners on 1st and 2nd with zero outs. It didn't work out. Going the other way didn't might not have worked out either. But I wouldn't call it fear per-say.

    Buxton to start rehab on Friday in Rochester! Sano is going to be special, man that kid has power.

    Down 2, a struggling offense and it assures that your best hitter in Dozier will get to bat with runners on if it's successful. I didn't mind it. Puts the DP out of play and gives you two cracks to tie the game with a hit.
