  1. Looking more and more like Brandon Webb (when he was kick ass)
  2. He would say no. The contract I would offer would be whatever the average price would be for his pre arb and Arb years are and then 15-18 million a year for his first 3 post arb years. 8-9years, 110-120 mil? Or something of that nature.
  3. First Twins game I have been to at Target Field this year. Your welcome!

why is it such a big deal for Sano to play 1st base? He is young, he isn't going to lose all his athleticism by spending a year or two at DH and occasionally at 3B/1b
  5. Yeah...but it was thought a couple of the injuries were a bit exaggerated at one point.
  6. He has looked a ton better and I expect him to keep this up the rest of the season. He's never going to be that 25 HR .940 OPS first base type, but should be able to hit for .300 in the future with a nice OBP and plenty of doubles (OPS in the .830 to .860 range would be my guess)
  7. I don't know why they need to have 13 pitchers, seems like overkill. You can be fine with 11 and still have enough in case you go into extra innings. Have the SP go 2 innings and suddenly you just need 7 more guys to go one inning each. (3 Left for extras)
  8. Yeah, he has been bad, but most of that is due to injury. Sucks, but it's part of the game, I don't hold it against him or think he is "stealing" from the Twins. Carl Pavano on the Yankees this is not.
  9. I personally wouldnt have done it, but i don't think it was the "wrong" move and certainly understand why he did it. Ditto with Perkins and only one inning, he got out of the inning in like 8 pitches, I would have let him go more, but with May coming in I guess I understand the logic.
  10. His pitch selection has been phenomanal thus far. That at bat in the 9th was great.
  11. That's a little over the top.
  12. Why? Sano isn't slow but he isn't as fast as Nunez (I'm a bit surprised they didn't put in Robinson instead) but oh well. At that point you need speed on the base paths who can be a threat to steal and will surely score on a double (or single if he does steal) I have no issue with that move whatsoever at this stage in Sanos career. Now later if he is hitting 40 HR a year and a .900 OPS....then maybe I think twice before PR for such a beast at the plate.
  13. These spending limits are ridiculous, they need to just hurry up and do an international draft.
  14. Dozier is possibly gonna end up with and is on pace for more than 110 runs, 30 HR, 12 SB, 45 doubles as a 2nd baseman!! (Oh and he kicks ass defensively as well) That is not only all star level, that is MVP consideration level (top 10 votes and some top 5)
  15. Not as good as Doziers.
  16. Rotation: Santana Hughes Gibson Milone May/Pelf Bullpen: Perkins (closer) Papelbon (8th inning guy) May/Pelfrey (7th inning and high leverage 3 inning type) ORourke LOOGY Fien 6th/7th inning type Boyer/duensing cut one and keep one. Trade someone for the rights to Graham and stash him. No need to have 7 guys in the pen, would rather have an extra bench bat considering guys like Santana, Suzuki, Hermann will be seeing at bats.
  17. You don't need two Loogys on a team. Hopefully Rourke fills that role and Rogers can eventually be a ML starter (fallback as a LOOGY) This team now just needs a shut down 8th inning type, maybe May can be that this rest of this year, but I would be looking to bring in one of chapman (cost prob too much), papelbon or clippard. It's really too bad the twins have failed to bring Neshek back home the last 3-4 years and chances they have had. Of course he is going no where now as he is once again on one of the best teams in baseball.
  18. Guy gets more grief (a lot of it warranted) then any twins player the pat few years, let's take a moment and give him some props for a real nice few games since the recall. Hopefully this lasts and he becomes our RF of the future alongside Buxton in CF and Rosario in LF!
  19. It's about time. Hopefully this solves the loogy issue and either may can become a lights out 8th inning guy (who can go 3 innings if needed) or they trade for an elite guy like papelbon. At this point the starting pitching is getting you somewhat deep into ball games with low runs scored against, having a couple of reliable guys beyond Perkins would go a long ways to make this a playoff team.
  20. Trolpo for president!!!!!
  21. Now THATS how you manage a game and a bullpen
  22. Twins win 12-2. Sano with 2 HR. Dozier with one. Mauer 3 hits. Book it.
  23. gets snubbed from the all star game, final vote is nice and all but with the rest of those guys in it I'm guessing he ends up last.
