  1. Wow, pulling Santana at 93 pitches and not putting in Perkins again. Let's not even get into his obsession with bunting and getting guys caught stealing 45% of the time. Could have swept KC, instead we split because of crappy managing.
  2. Now leading the team in OBP and Average. Has looked pretty good the past couple weeks, hopefully can keep it up! Power seems to be picking back up as well. Maybe can end the season with 12-14 HR
  3. I have wanted the twins to pick up joba for years, I think he would be a perfect lottery ticket, better than the stauffers of the world.
  4. Yes but I have given up on that fight as managers will never put in their closers in th 7th and 8th typically Once you get to extras there is no excuse not to have Perkins in.
  5. It still would give you a better chance to win. The margin for error with a team like the twins is so small anyways that they need to be giving themselves any edge to win. Pitch Perkins in the 10th and 11th and roll the dice the rest of the way. Losing all of these extra inning games with Perkins not throwing a pitch is inexcusable. If he is tired the next day oh well, let someone else close out the 2 or 3 run lead.
  6. Good thing Perkins didn't pitch at all!
  7. Yet another extra innings loss where Perkins doesn't throw one pitch. Unacceptable. Bullpen usage has been a big fat F from him this year as has lineup construction. Should have never fired Gardy.
  8. uhhh oops Still though, this lineup was a disaster waiting to happen.
  9. No excuse. The all star game break is in 5 days, their is zero reason why hunter and Mauer should have both been sitting today. Chalk up another loss on Molly. That's 4.
  10. 150 people die each year from chicken pox with another 13,000 who are hospitalized. Seems like a vaccine isn't a terrible idea. (And this doesn't even get into scaring etc)

    Nunez

Escobar played LF two nights ago, he hasn't exactly been buried.
  12. That's what I sorta mean, I could see the birthrate dropping enough where it could screw us economically a little bit.
  13. Actually that is false, you can't vaccinate until a certain age and even prior to that the child in some cases can contract the disease in question, not to mention the numerous kids who can't get them due to immune disorders etc. Anti Vaxers are literally the dumbest people on this planet. There is nothing more to say about it.
  14. I will take a win today and 2 out of 4 against KC. I don't think the twins can catch KC or win the division as 90-95 wins is a bit u realistic for us. However the wild card should be a somewhat attainable goal. Even after the dreaded June swoon the twins still sit in the wild card spot. (Though is a ton more crowded)
  15. Yeah it actually is a problem if your kids don't get vaccinations and it is a threat to other people (the sick/disabled, the babies etc), parents should be tossed in jail for not giving their kids the basic vaccinations, it's a danger to society. Also to Levs point earlier about male "birth control": I think it would be a great thing overall, but I wonder just how much the birthrate would fall? Genetically speaking there are a lot more males who have no desire to have kids then females. At some point you need a lot of "accidents" to happen year over year.
  16. Never been a fan but the guy has been hitting very very well, so much in fact I'm not sure it can be explained as a fluke SSS. With that said, he doesn't play D well enough at SS and won't hit well enough long term to be a LF/DH type, ultimately does he just become the ultimate "25th" man on the team? A guy who can hit and field at an acceptable level to fill in as a starter from time to time and as a late innings PH as well?
  17. Yeah that is my problem with the whole thing, it seems like a large number of those people who are "pro life" are also against any sort of welfare whatsoever, which most of the time helps poor families, single mother families, families with disabilities etc People have no problem fighting for the rights of people, but the minute any money gets involved people say "hey, its not my problem! You shouldn't have had kids if you couldn't afford them!"
  18. He will be fine, it's not like his outings have cost us either game as both were already well out of hand. His inability to throw strikes has been concerning, but I have faith he will settle down a bit. Hopefully Molly shows him some faith and puts him in a non blow out game (Maybe a game where they are up 3-4 runs in the 7th or down by a run or two in the 6th/7th/8th)
  19. Even "faith" changes their official viewpoints, the pope has come out in favor of climate change (he was a scientist btw), how old the earth is, gay rights, etc most Christians accept these things as well, the only ones who don't are in an extreme (but vocal) minority who just ignore all common sense.
  20. But the earth is 4+ billion years old. This is fact. The earth is not flat. This is fact.
  21. people that don't deserve a thought of mine on: Anti Vacciantions folk West Boro Baptists People who think the earth is only 10,000 years old and dinosaurs never roamed the earth. NAMBLA Packers fans People that think 54 year old Michael Jordan could beat 29 year old Lebron James. Etc etc
  22. I don't know about that, I think most people are against late term abortions (unless in case of emergency)
  23. I was talking about the climate change which is why I only quoted that. Anyone who thinks the earth is 5,000-10,000 years old isn't even worth spending a thought on.(luckily those numbers are fewer and fewer)
  24. that is all fine and I commend you for that, but you also basically just said that climate change has been minimal in a post 15 minutes ago and their hasn't been enough data etc etc
