    The yellow in the uniform color combination is just horrible. Probably why its there. For distraction purposes. Yuck. Great win tho!!!

    By the time we get to a 7 game series in October, Varland will be a weapon in the bullpen. Barring any significant injuries, our playoff pitching roster will be stacked top to bottom. Lou’s bullpen build up will likely start mid August with a focus on getting 3-6 outs. In the mean time, he will get spot starts.

    Its seems like he is messing around with details he doesn’t need to mess with. Could be mgmnt or just him and the catcher but….Knock It Off! Get outs and get a win. Stop all the goofing around.

    Its above my paygrade to pick the right guy to trade for. But somebody pick the right one and get it done!

    True. He is only untouchable to the degree that he has massive upside and is raw. There is definitely a price for him but I doubt anyone would be willing to pay it this year. He has as much flame out possibility as perennial allstar.

    The biggest negative to Winokers game is his K rate. When he fixes that, he will be a top 100 MLB prospect.

    Jenkins has lost zero trade value because of a miner injury. He hasn’t even lost much development time because he is still 19 yo. He will be in the show as a twin in 2026. 21 yo ROY.

    I would dump farmer, Santana, Margo after this season and go young with all 3 of those positions in 2025 unless the FO gets the green light on signing a $24+M perennial allstar to cover one of them. Id rather see Emma, Lee and some other young guy get his shot at MLB!

    This summers draft could be lights out with the balanced pick position and comp picks. A deep successful draft will likely add to 3-4 of these tiers. Being buyers in august is definitely possible because 7 teams are chasing us to get into the October show. Getting a controllable MLB pitcher that is lights out should be goal #1. Selling underperforming vet(s) should also be considered! We need to bring up or in someone that will kickstart the offense. With one or two call ups or trades, this season could take an immediate turn towards a deep playoff run!

    There isn’t a real good reason to trade unless we bring in a high performing rental to jump start the offense or build long term talent upgrades. We have that option on the farm but always be open to improving the team immediately. Lee and Erod are prime timers like Lewis. Try those options first. The cost is ZERO $.

    Right now they are slightly better than the average teams. Not in the same category as the top 5 in the AL. If the Twins improve even slightly, they will get a wild card spot because other teams will be beating up on each other. We just need to focus on winning 2/3 in every series that doesn’t involve the Yankees or the Orioles. Sweep some of the teams chasing after us and we will be just fine.

    Lee is going to be in the show very soon and I predict that once he gets here, he will stay. He wont be traded and he wont be hidden in AAA. When he is ready, he will be a MN Twin for many years.

    It seems like we are built more for playoffs than the regular season marathon. No one onthe roster seems like a bulldog built for a long fight. Just lots of short burst performances. We need a shut down pitcher the most and to dump slumpy underperforming types.

    Lets hope so! It should be nothing less that dumping underperforming disappointments and making a run with guys that are focused on being champs.

    60/40 split is ok if you can shuttle some pitchers across the river and you don’t have many garbage innings. It helps SP from getting fatigue from 32 starts. We just need to keep fresh quality arms no matter what inning they are throwing in.

    Our best player has been injured for 59.6 games and just getting back today. Two huge sophomore slumps by Julien and Wallner. We have been held together by a really good pitching staff. Im still on board with getting 96 wins this season. At some point, Cleveland and KC will regress. May end up 96/95/94 wins for the three top teams in the AL central.

    The FO isnt going to trade a top prospect like lee or jenkins. Maybe one or 2 of the top 20 but not a top 5 guy.

    How long will it be until Walker Jenkins is smoking linedrives in Iowa or Kansas? That kid is fun to watch!! It will be even better when he gets to the midwest.

    Or it means that the next one will tip in our favor. The kid has a legitimate pitch mix.

    Every team needs a Castro type… When he heats up, the team wins more. He isnt an mvp but he adds some juice.

    Someone will over pay. Hopefully its not our FO. If its a fair deal, go for it!

    Its a butterfly effect. No one can say that either Gil or Wade would have developed in the twins system as they have elsewhere. Nothing has really been lost but a few too many games over the years….
