    I would trade Kepler for any of the starters you listed. I don’t know that I would automatically slot them in at #2, but all of them could have the potential to get there

    Yes and no for what though? And are you truly arguing the only way to get a pitcher this offseason is to make a deal with only Seattle? I’m so confused. But it is hard to say absolutes for anything right now. I understand needing to give something to get something.

    I have the hardest time trading Lee. I guess see what’s on the table. As of today (and this may change) I would try and package something like Farmer, Emmanuel Rodriguez and something else for a good starter. But I don’t know what Seattle is looking for

    Curious if they want Polanco to be 2B and getting someone else for 3b? Or if they are pushing (if it is a Twins player) for someone like Farmer, or Lee? Interesting?

    Glasnow would be incredible, and I like the idea of Ramirez as a platoon 1B. I don't know that Arozarena is attainable, but he is a superstar too. Fun to dream on.

    The more I think on reading this, this feels like it has quite a few parallels to where Sonny Gray was prior to the Twins acquiring him. Just saying. I'd be open to the idea if his shoulder looks healthy.

    Yeah, Keller would be my personal dream get, and I don’t see them trading him either. I could be wrong. But there may be a match to find somehow

    I don't know if the Twins will trade Jorge Polanco or not. I love his bat in our lineup. That said, Pirates fans/websites certainly are in LOVE with Polanco right now. So don't tell them that they are going nowhere.

    Question for you Seth; if you had an over/under of MLB starts for Lewis in 2024 at 1.5 starts, would you take the over or the under? He is a fascinating prospect, and (not counting for injuries) I think I would ALMOST be willing to wager the over on this. Even with a team that should be shooting for the playoffs. Tell me I'm crazy. My kids do all the time :)

    Hopefully he can get a shot with them. I do think there is a major league player in there.

    Seattle is an interesting team, as they have a good amount of starting pitching. They also have some other interesting pieces too, including some right handed bats (namely Ty France?) and some interesting looking bullpen options. That said, I'm not sure that the Twins will be open to trading Brooks Lee. I could be wrong. This offseason will be interesting. Thanks for laying this out.

    I don’t see any way that THIS team trades a major league starting pitcher. To that end, I wouldn’t even have López or Ryan on this list. If we are picking next guy at that point it’s Julien right?

    I mean, I also enjoy playing MLB the show. If you want, you can be the Twins opening day starting pitcher as well. With that said, for reality, I don't see this happening for opening day. Not for THIS team with THIS front office and coaching staff.

    He will, absolutely. IF his shoulder is healthy, and that was the issue this past season, I think that will happen. I also think they know where he is at right now, which will show how aggressively they go after a 1B/DH right handed hitting option via trade or free agency.

    I think analytics (aka knowledge and learning about something) is great. I think one should be as informed as possible before making a decision on anything, be it where to get food for a meal, how to travel from A to B, or even if generally a decision during a game. Knowledge and understanding don't guarantee success in whatever you are doing. No one can predict the future. But it also is good to make a decision based on the best information you know at the time. We are all human, and we all make mistakes. Hopefully we tried our best, right?

    I still have quite a bit of hope that Miranda can get healthy and be a solid bat for this lineup. Not certain where he can play defensively other than 1B, but if he can do that AND be able to backup 3B, that is a good player to have.

    I hate looking at it this way, but for pairing down to a roster of 26, I don't know that I A) See BOTH Castro and Gordon on the team AND B) See both Farmer and Polanco on the team. I think two of those 4 are still on the team opening day 2024, barring injuries of course. Thanks Seth!

    OTHER than 1B/DH, do you see any position that his arm (Julien's) isn't a hindrance? I'm hoping he can be an option at a few spots to keep his bat in the lineup. For example, left field occasionally makes sense to me as well as 1B/2B.

    Agreed with most timelines. Just came here to say that the list is exciting to me, and I'd also be willing to bet that Jenkins pushes closer to end of year 2025 instead of mid year 2026.

    You mean we can't just trade all the players we don't necessarily/hypothetically love for another team's best players? What's up with that? :) Also, I'm trying to find, in the settings menu, where to turn injuries off for 2024. Have you been able to find that? :)
