  1. I know that. And if a hypothetical trade for Hunter Greene never happens, I will absolutely LOVE seeing Culpepper in a Twins uniform. There aren't many players that are both potentially available AND I'd move Culpepper for. Houston is killing it at AA too. Good problem to have.
  2. I do think if they can get a player like Greene, then finding a good solid defensive 2b will be easier than finding a SS. So if it isn't Culpepper at 2b in that scenario, maybe it's someone else they trade for or sign? I guess we'll see.
  3. How far away do you think Marek Houston is from the majors? And truly, for his part, Kreidler hasn’t been bad at all
  4. If Culpepper is your 2b instead of your SS, and you are getting Greene for the next 3 years, I would. I wouldn’t send Jenkins in this deal and Houston is the superior defender. Love Culpepper, but I would move him for someone with Greenes talent
  5. Agreed. Looks at his numbers since June 1. They are right in line with the rest of his career. Poor start to the year notwithstanding.
  6. Why? Do you see Larnach here in 2027? Do you think the adjustments he has made are the hitter he is now? Both of those could be true, but selling high makes sense. Abreu has been lights out in his career, and really since June 1 he has been lights out again. Bad start to the year, but do you really think he wouldn't be our best right handed reliever right now, or at least near the top of that list? Plus, with Jenkins knocking on the door, it would open up a full time spot for him, I fail to see the real problem here. Get real value for a player at the height of their value with a good replacement ready. But, maybe now it's a different move upcoming.
  7. Bobby Nightengale just reported this did in fact happen, that it almost came to be
  8. I know it didn't matter in the outcome overall, but there were definitely some toss up challenges that went Seattle's way, as well as some ABS challenges not called by Caratini towards the end, that also didn't help the outcome of the game. Still, fun to see our team be the one to play to the end and not give up. Win tomorrow.
  9. Gotta say, I don't hate Lewis's defense at 1b. I hope he can continue to hit the ball hard, the last at bat of the top of the 8th notwithstanding.
  10. I'd be curious how a robot calls that differently? It's a tough call, even if I do think it was a catch. Balls and strikes I agree for the most part, even though having a human is what I'm very much used to
  11. He mitht not even be what he used to be. But I absolutely think he can be a guy you can write his name into the rotation in pen. I even extend him if possible.
  12. I absolutely LOVE Prielipp's potential. He isn't ready to be 32 starts at 6 inning per. Right now I think Bradley and Ryan are at that level. I don't know that there are others in the rotation to count on that yet. Pablo back next year certainly will help that.
  13. I think bringing up both Jenkins and Culpepper should help the offense too. But really, if they do need to trade Jeffers, they also truly have to find another bat that can help with his middle of the order production. MAYBE Lewis can find his footing but I don't know that I would expect it. So I don't think they would need to trade for Goodman. If they can find a different 1b/3b/DH type option that truly can be a #3 type hitter, then go for it.
  14. I mostly meant; if you HAD to pick between Larnach or Bell going, which would you pick? I don't know that you have to, but I don't love Larnach's defense either even if he has a solid bat this year. But you are probably right, Bell shouldn't be in the infield.
  15. I think a good quality starter is actually a pretty massive need. The only starter I really trust to go 5 or more most of the rest of the way is Bradley. I HOPE Ryan can get back into his groove. I do think Ober can be ok, but I don't know how much I trust Prielipp MOSTLY with his supposed innings limit at some point. And then Zebby; he can look really solid at some points and really like giving batting practice at others. Wouldn't be shocked if he transitions to the bullpen after this year. If Rojas suddenly becomes a thing in the rotation that would be awesome. But yeah, if they can add someone who can at least slot between Ryan and Ober, even better between Bradley and Ryan, then go for it.
  16. I like all the names mentioned in this thread already. I’ll add Casey Mize as another option. Gausman may be my favorite, but it’ll be really good to add some help
  17. Seeing Jenkins play in left field is interesting to me. Makes me think his debut might not be all that far away after all. And it sure was fun to see Lackey’s name in the box score. They got a good one with him
  18. Really good addition to the pen. Absolutely in the mix with Morris and Gomez for higher leverage use.
  19. Yup, arguably both of them are guys that would have a hard path to finding playing time in the majors here. Wish them well, but this is a deal you make every day for a good reliever at the deadline.
  20. Billy Amick and Bruin Agbayani to the Mets for Minter. Minter certainly is now in the mix with Morris and Gomez for higher leverage use. Good deal
