    I agree, the Twins actually got the best of the trade vs. the White Sox. Now Frankie has been better with the Bucs, but the White Sox got nothing.

    LENIII states that Santana likes to play in the cold and would be interested in the Twins. I would go 4 years/$60 million. He is an innings eater and in my opinion is the best FA pitcher out there that is realistic for the Twins. What are your thoughts?

    I don't give a crap about the $$, the Twins certainly have money, unless they say this is it, then I will be mad. I'd like to take a run at Masterson on a Hughes like deal. Maybe Torii can help Hicks get his head out of his rear end. His RH bat will certainly help break up the lefties

    I would certainly go after Gallardo if he becomes available and maybe only other one would be Masterson Lester is going back to the Sox. It will certainly be interesting what the Tigers do with Scherzer. Their payroll is sky high and the team is aging. I know Torii won't be back so they have that money. I think the Tigers ship may have sailed already

    I think Gardy could have a job such as the Rangers waiting for him if he decides to step down. I think TR stays though. We need radical change in the stale clubhouse and I think Dougie would bring it. It would be interesting to see what kind of staff he could assemble. I think Gene Glynn as a bench type coach would bring some experience. I'm fine going all young on the staff though

    No issue whatsoever with this, he hasn't really pitched much lately and is not part of the long term plans. Good to see some more 40-man space being freed up.

    Get rid of the soft tossers and bring in the power arms in the bullpen. This in my opinion has been a key to Kansas City's success, being able to go to Herrera, Davis and Holland in the late innings. No way Burton or Deduno are kept around, I think even Duensing and Swarzak may not be back either. Is the league figuring Casey Fien out?

    He has been great since he gotten here. I think that he would make a great 4th outfielder/pinch runner/defensive replacement. I really like him in the 9 hole since he causes so much havoc on the base paths. I really think he would be a good piece to have on the 2015 club, whether starting like he is now until replacements are ready or as a bench player. His emergence, along with the Vargas emergence to play 1b, should spell the end of Parmalee and Colabello.

    the O's have a club option on Markakis for $17.5 million with a $2.5 million buyout, which Markakis can void and go for a longer term deal. He is having a down year and his OPS is just .746 and he's already 30. I think I'd be more inclined for Torii on a shorter less expensive deal. However, I would be satisfied if we go in house.
