    He makes a good point but we better get a damn good pitcher back and he better be controllable . I'd hate to give up Lewis for a pitcher we could lose soon, especially if Lewis turns into and all star level player. The potential upside for Lewis would give me a hard pause for sure

    Weird, not sure how I missed that, I was under the impression he was hitting FA next year. In that case, yeah, he's gonna be expensive. I still wouldn't give up quite that much, maybe 2 out of the three and 2 more lower prospects

    I'd love to do a Stroman/Giles package and then get Smith (especially if the cost is that low). Would be a decent prospect haul for all of those guys but I would be ok with something like Graterol or Larnach, Gordon, Wade, and Gonsalves for Stroman/Giles and the aforementioned Stewart and Colina for Smith. All in all that's 6 prospects for 3 MLers and only sacrificing 1 top 10 prospect. Would it be enough? Not sure, maybe we would have to switch out Gonsalves for a higher rated prospect like Duran or Thorpe to get it done but I think the return is worth it

    Man, I must be the only one who feels like this is WAY too much for a half year rental, those are our #3,4,and 5 prospects on many boards and all should be top 100 prospects or at least borderline. I would only consider that deal if he agreed to an extension that's not outlandish (not gonna happen). For me I would only consider trading one of those guys for a rental, not all 3.

    I'd do that trade for Stroman/Giles. I like Graterol but he feels like an oft injured reliever at this point, I say sell high on him

    I recall reading about him and some talk about him on this board, I even think there was some talk about him being an outlier #1 money saving pick. He just seemed to be on the outside of the top 5 though. I remember liking him but not as much as the other guys

    I wanted Gore too but he was kind of a 1a to a Royce Lewis 1b for me. I just really didn't like Mckay or Wright

    Also Berrios got snubbed. Only 2 All Stars for a team with the 3rd best record in all of baseball. That's ridiculous but as someone else pointed out, at least we get the rest and maybe this will piss off the team and they tear through the whole league

    Not sure if anyone mentioned it but Polanco broke his on base streak. I think it was 38 games being on base, something like that

    Rough OF defense, let's hope Buxton and Kepler can get healthy soon because that could get ugly for more than a game or two

    Ironically isn't the Major League thing the same thing the owner of the Expos used to get out of Montreal? If I remember correctly he basically tanked the local TV deals resulting in blacked out games to squash interest in the team while at the same time trading guys for nothing and refusing to offer salary arbitration to anyone. So I guess it did work IRL!

    I'm still not buying McKay as a prospect, I like Lewis better and Gore as well. Maybe the vindication was a bit premature

    I feel slightly vindicated because in the 2017 draft I was all on board with Lewis or Gore while it seemed like the focus was on McKay and Greene.
