  1. I can think of a few members of the fan base who could learn something from this. No names though, out of respect for the organization's involved.
  2. Yes to Dougie; no to Ozzie, maybe to Molly.
  3. I think the sponsors will see to that. But the Cowboys won't care.
  4. I think the large American media conglomerates would burn their own mothers at the stake if it generated more advertising revenue.
  5. I certainly agree that if one of Gardy or Anderson goes, the other will too. And, I'd be good with Dougie at the helm. Then the question becomes: who is the pitching coach?
  6. The Twins should offer free beer to everyone who completes the survey. Rankings will skyrocket.
  7. It's not like Jimmy Stewart; but we digress. I hope Hicks and Pinto are up to play, and not just ride the pine.
  8. No prob. I wouldn't have been able to cut it as an athlete even in my twenties. Or more importantly, as a test pilot, which is what I really wanted to be as a kid.
  9. I guess most of us geezers should be dead already.
  10. Does Berrios have a fair shot of staying in Rochester to start next season?
  11. Dennett nails it. http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2014/03/28/daniel-dennett-rapoport-rules-criticism/
  12. I'll just say hi from across the river. It looks like you'll get your chance with May. It won't hurt if you bring another 20 runs along too.
  13. I'm doubtful anything will change peoples' cherished beliefs. There are still flat-earthers out there too.
  14. I expect as soon as he passes the standard concussion protocol. That collision could have easily produced a much more serious neck/spine trauma, along with the concussion. Glad all the tests showed that is not the case. Now I hope he and his family get some time together without the sports paparazzi butting in too much.
  15. In that scenario, I wonder how Steinbach would fare as a pitching coach? I probably keep Bobby Cuellar in any event.
  16. Parker, please propose a palliative pithy pitcher, posthaste. Plaintively, playfully, parodied to please previous posters. P.S. - and I didn't call you Nick.
  17. "On August 11, his major league debut, Garza allowed seven earned runs in 2 ⅔ innings to the Toronto Blue Jays." And how did he work out?
  18. I'm happy to still be in Minnesota. Although Wales is quite lovely this time of year.
  19. Followed by the thread blaming Rick Anderson for it.
  20. Apparently this won't be announced until after tonight's game. But if one guesses Milone comes up Tuesday it's a good bet.
  21. Yeah, I'd view it like Gibson last year. Setting up for 2015. I wonder if Pino is optioned later today?
