    FWIW, some behavioral research on children shows that the 'machismo' type of behavior among young boys can start as early as 4-5, with reactions towards their mothers and sisters. Some gentle education needs to start way before entry into the educational system, per se. I rather prefer the idea of the social setting of the bonobo, our other closest genetic relative.
