    The Zen that can be written or spoken is not the true Zen. The starter that can not go through an opposing lineup a third time is not a starter. Maybe that's your position on Odorizzi and he should be removed from the rotation. If so, then we need another guy who can go the necessary distance, or the bullpen will quickly be burned to a crisp.

    A friend told me that his father used to watch the original Lost In Space and complain in complete earnestness, "why don't they just shoot that son of a b-word?". Smith was one of the most unlikable characters ever - I mean, in a way I don't think the show's creators actually intended. They were going for broad comic villainy, but they ended up with implausible annoyance. Why indeed would the crew show a stowaway the slightest mercy, the second time he double-crossed them? I hope the new incarnation is an improvement. Doubtful I'll find out first-hand anytime soon.

    If you are plagiarizing from somewhere, you do an excellent job of covering your tracks. These are gold. Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug. Sometimes you're Popeye, sometimes you're the spinach. Sometimes you're the plagiarist, sometimes you're the plagiaree.

    I'm still not too sure. That homer came in an AB where he received a lot of very hittable pitches and kept fouling them off. This pitcher didn't have the command (this season) to put him away, and eventually he was able to connect. Average pitchers may not be so generous. Something seems to be amiss with his swing. I hope to have to eat these words immediately and for a prolonged time.
