  1. Haven't had occasion to come up with a TD-name for our daughter. Maybe that should be it, though it's not as likely to come up in conversation as the two boys. Go figure. That would make me Dadbury, but I'll stick with what I have been using.
  2. The box score shows it as such. Reconstructing the inning without the error, to the benefit of the pitcher, would seem to have the run scoring anyway, thus the earned run.
  3. Two sons are Twins fans, Bashbury and Cashbury. The older one is at today's game. Here is a photo he sent earlier in the game.
  4. They're locked up and each game's opposing pitcher holds the key. The last several games the pitcher has handed it over more willingly than expected.
  5. Son Bashbury is in attendance at today's game.
  6. I'm not yet comfortable watching him, but he's made strides since he came up last season. Moving up the spectrum from Serviceable, to Adequate, to "About Average Maybe".
  7. My advice to Chris Paddack so far tonight would be the same as the advice every real estate agent has given me: Location, Location, Location!
  8. That was indeed the cause of the problem that caused me to notice and wonder who.
  9. I generally like Plouffe's comments but he needs to be demoted to radio until he learns how to pace his reminiscences. 😀
  10. Yes, my complaints about Martin in center pale in comparison to the anguish I would feel if I had to root for these Angels.
  11. Who is doing the color commentary on the broadcast? Yakkity yak yak yak about rehab assignments, right through the base hit by Kepler. I was looking at something else momentarily and had no idea the at bat was over until Provus finally broke in to mention what was going on down on the field.
  12. A two-hopper to third base on a throw from short centerfield. That arm on Martin is marginal at best for the position.
  13. I missed the context for this comment. But by coincidence, our Lyft driver from the airport last night turned out to be a big Atlanta fan, who could not stand Freeman and was glad to see him go. Apparently he witnessed the player fail to toss a foul ball to the fans, or didn't sign someone's memorabilia, or something like that, and he made up his mind. Fans choose their favorites for a wide variety of reasons.
  14. I did not comb the site carefully so maybe someone already pointed this out, but in the box score for yesterday's game Sano struck out twice in two plate appearances. He was replaced by a pinch hitter, Ehire Adrianza!(!), who proceeded to.... strike out twice in two plate appearances.
  15. “Blessed is he that expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.” – Benjamin Franklin
  16. He has 92 appearances in the majors, 0 starts. Who can guess as to the front office's intentions when they acquired him, though. 😀
  17. I do believe you got the Handel on Chief's joke.
