  1. Turning back into a pumpkin just means settling back into your typical level. For some players, like Clemens, that ’s a drop-off. For others like Lewis, getting back to their true form is actually a step forward. It all depends on what the baseline is."
  2. Just reported the facts. What could I possibly had said that's disagreeable? Thread Athletics helped Okert — that’s not debate, it’s data.
  3. Steven Okert whom the Twins cut last year has resurrected his career in Houston. He when to Tread Athletics. ---- Tread Athletics is a data-driven baseball performance facility and remote coaching service, based in Charlotte, NC. Founded by Ben Brewster (former pro pitcher and author of Building the 95 MPH Body), Tread combines biomechanical assessments, strength & mobility training, pitch design, and ongoing coach interaction to help athletes improve velocity, reduce injury risk, and optimize performance .
  4. I can find a John, and I can find a bench...but I can't find a Johnny Bench. He was a great one. My favorite Red.
  5. The Twins' longest road trip of the season is over, seems fitting it ended on a dud. Tampa Bay Rays (May 26–28) Seattle Mariners (May 30–June 1) Oakland Athletics (June 3–5) The trip spaned over 7,300 miles, making it not only the longest for the Twins this season but also one of the most extensive in recent MLB history.
  6. I thought for sure the title for today's game was going to read: " A's Feast on Festa"
  7. "Jorge Alcala coughed up a three-run homer to Soderstrom" It was a Grand Slam. Not a 3 run bomb.
  8. Pete Alonso signed a 2 year, $54,000,000 contract with the New York Mets, including $10,000,000 signing bonus, $54,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $27,000,000. Twins or Seattle probably have to sweeten the deal to pull him away from the Mets. Only in our dreams would Twins ownership pull that trigger. But yes, one more player like Alonso would of been a game changer.
  9. Agreed, but Twins could have easily been swept as well. Close games, but good teams win them. After Friday's dramatic win, I was expecting this team to start soaring again. Mistakes did them in.
  10. Agreed...that image reveals a better sense of how helpless the runner was. Yet...a perfectly executed hook slide probably avoids the tag and he gets his hand in under the tag...maybe. Highly doubt Wallner is a candidate for such athleticism. It's hard to be a 3rd case coach. In a split second you have to decide. Do I want bases loaded and no outs or take the risk to score. If I'm wrong...still have a runner at 2nd with one out. Tough call to make. Easy to judge in retrospect.
  11. Your comment made he go look at Wallner slide....I mean...who slides like this? Do I slide head (hands) first or feet first?? Let's try both!!!
  12. Every time I see Jorge Alcalá take the mound, I’m reminded of how brutal the Ryan Pressly trade was. Houston landed a perennial All-Star and World Series anchor, and we got a guy who’s never put it together. And yet, Falvey still won’t let go of him—like he’s clinging to the trade hoping it’ll somehow justify itself. Or, Falvey is afraid history will repeat itself.
  13. He Jorge’d it right into the loss column.
  14. What a comeback win. So many heroes...but if Correa doesn't advance Jeffers to 3rd in the 4th inning...then Lee drive him home with an infield out to make the score 4-2....most likely...Twins lose 6-5. Just saying small ball played a huge roll in the win.
  15. I actually had to watch the highlight reel twice to make sure it wasn't a dream. Epic win.
  16. Said it before. If Clemens continues to roll, we may never see Miranda or Julien in a Twins uniform again.
  17. Nice article. Every game I watch, I look for something I've never—or rarely—seen before. The 2022 Miguel Sanó walk-off against Detroit tops the list. Sanó drives a ball to right. If he doesn't run to second, the bases are loaded with one out. Who knows what happens next? But Sano just keeps going—straight into a base-running mess. If the winning run doesn't score, Sano is an easily out at third, because he just keeps going. It was classic Sanó: more lucky than good. But somehow, Detroit out-blundered him. Two runs scored. Game over.
  18. Same here.....maybe people want to now how.....Dofu App works well....as well as MLB66.ir ( this one works well with the Brave web browser. At 66.ir...can also watch replay of games. Both ways to stream for free allow the user to choose home or away announcers.
  19. Last night featured Bride and Keirsey Jr....with both Buxton and Wallner coming back. It will be interesting to see who goes back to AAA with McCusker. Certainly not Clemens. I am going with Bride.
  20. The Pohlad family has created a public relations nightmare — and it’s entirely self-inflicted. For years, they've relied on the loyalty of the fanbase while doing the bare minimum to earn it. Now, it feels like they're expecting fans to keep showing up purely for the love of the game, regardless of how the franchise is run. Supporting a team is more than just loving baseball — it’s about believing in the leadership behind it. I don't blame anyone for refusing to support the Twins as long as the Pohlad's are in charge.
  21. If Clemens continues to impress....big if....only 17 games and 50 at bats....but we may never see Miranda or Julien in a Twins uniform again. Time will tell.
  22. Point well made...as you inferred...it depends on the type of baseball you prefer to watch. Sano career K rate is 2x more than France...almost exactly. Personally, especially later in his career, I'd stop watching a game when Sano came up to "hit"...because the odds were so low that he actually would. Plus...he was just as bad in the field. Career Numbers Sano vs France Miguel Sanó ~36.5% ~42.4% (2024) Ty France ~18.2% 14.2% ( 2025)
  23. Yes... excellent point......who can forget the walking K machine. Why did Miguel Sanó bring a spoon to the batter’s box? Because every time he swung, he served up another Snow-KKK-Cone! Twins payed a lot for the Kone....over 34 Million.
  24. With World Series games sometimes being played into November. If and when the Twins get there...start prepping the Bank!
  25. Just asking... Is it completely out of the question to play in US Bank stadium. The Gophers have played game there I believe. Why not the Twins?
