    In the Falvey era only two trades come to mind that worked out in our favor, The Cruz/ Ryan deal, and I forget the other. So, I frankly don't trust Falvey. He's more likely to reverse engineer the best trade he ever made. Whatever his process is, I don't trust it.

    Twins patch it up and sneak out a win. Bullpen game to start, duct tape to finish—Adams kept it from imploding. With 7 games and a day off before the break, this is the window to get the rotation right. Matthews returning..hopefully soon, Festa and SWR stepping up... hey, stranger things have happened.

    This is exactly what the Pohlad could be thinking. Clean the slate for the new owners. Q: But then why the extension to Rocco? A: Because it creates an illusion of stability, plus he's cheap. Biggest problem is Correa 30+ million per year contract....3 more years I believe.

    Were there not rumors of death threats against him and his family...some crazed gamblers? If the Twins want to model integrity, this is the move: Pull him. Shield him. Give him space. If it’s physical, treat it. If it’s mental, support it. If it’s mechanical, rebuild it.

    Skubal came close...striking out 8 of first 9 batters. --- The modern MLB record for most consecutive strikeouts to start a game is nine, achieved by Pablo López of the Miami Marlins on July 11, 2021, against the Atlanta Braves .

    A bittersweet read for sure. Just wondering, if you weren’t a starter in college… why would you be one in the majors? The Twins tried to convert Tyler Jay, and it backfired. For a team with little room for error, turning a top-10 pick into a project cost them more than the loss of an impact player — you have to toss in the $3.8M bonus that Jay was paid too.
