  1. I've been shocked at how large the crowd actually were in August. With onky 11 more home games to go, will they crack 100k?
  2. No thinking outside the box allowed in MLB!
  3. Jhoan Duran Philadelphia Phillies 1.89 1.12 57.0 62 23 Griffin Jax Tampa Bay Rays 5.06 1.33 53.1 82 0 Danny Coulombe Texas Rangers 1.85 1.05 39.0 41 2 Brock Stewart Los Angeles Dodgers 2.38 1.09 34.0 41 0 Louis Varland Toronto Blue Jays 2.61 1.18 58.2 58 0 ____ Jax has sucked....but 4/5 haven't. Show me the five guys that have replaced theses 5.
  4. I tip my hat to Ryan for his accomplishment, but " reaching the majors" is relative. The Twins have: 1) major league admission prices. 2) a minor league roster, 3) and a beer-league bullpen.
  5. True. It’s a 3-ring circus: the Pohlads playing ringmasters, Falvey juggling players like a clown, and Rocco wobbling on the tightrope — just waiting for the inevitable fall.
  6. Looks like Abel just got slain.
  7. Did you mean poised for 2036… not 2026? Must’ve been a typo. Been following this team for 50+ years, and I’ve never been so emotionally detached. I’m not even sure who’s more pathetic—ownership, front office, manager, or players. If you thought 2024-2025 was a nightmare...2026 is going to be a horror show on steroids.
  8. ...will come. _____ I’ll second this proclamation… with the usual Minnesota-sized grain of salt. It’s a big IF—but IF Keaschall keeps lighting up the scoreboard, IF a couple of Falvey’s gambles actually pay off, and IF Lee and Lewis find their stride—then sure, the Twins could become competitive again sooner than we think. And if that happens, yes… we’ll all dust off our “Go Twins” gear and hop back on the bandwagon. But until those “IFs” turn into wins, I’ll be keeping my distance from Target Field.
  9. Why haven't the Twins been sold yet? Because after trading the whole bullpen, there’s no one left to close the deal!
  10. I have a dream. Nothing this front office does surprises me anymore. Trading Varland was just another one to add to the list. Next up: Ryan and López. The roster will be ground to dust, the rebuild will drag for 5–6 years, and Target Field will be a dust bowl. But then… Louie Varland re-signs with the Twins after 2030. And in 2031, with a rebuilt roster and Louie as the closer, the Twins finally win the World Series. It only took burning it all down to make it happen.
  11. Better than most isn’t even an overstatement. Maybe knowing he not the worst guy in the pen does something to his psyche
  12. You're original comments just triggered things i heard Ploufee say...but...you're not wrong that Correa didn’t give a detailed, heartfelt confession the way many fans hoped. But it’s also not true that he denied everything — in multiple 2020 interviews, he did say what they did was wrong, admitted it hurt the game, and said they regretted it. He even used the word “guilty.” So technically, yes, he confessed — just not in a way that felt open or personal enough for a lot of people. He spent more time defending Altuve than reflecting on his own actions. Another weak sign. But if I were commissioner, none of that would matter. The Astros' 2017 title would be stripped from the record books. Gone. Whoever devised the scheme, plus A.J. Hinch for letting it happen under his watch, would be expelled from baseball for life. The immunity deal with the players was a joke. That title was tainted, and there’s no excuse for Major League Baseball letting it stand.
  13. Trevor Ploufee talked about this at length during the Dodgers series. Said: Carlos Correa was one of the youngest regulars on that 2017 Astros team — just 22 years old — and by most accounts, he wasn’t a ringleader in the sign-stealing scandal. The more vocal, veteran guys (like Carlos Beltrán and Brian McCann) were reportedly the driving force behind the system. Correa has always come across more as a team guy who went along with it than someone who engineered it. Even in his post-scandal interviews, he didn’t deflect blame entirely, but he did defend teammates like José Altuve and seemed genuinely conflicted — not smug like Bregman or dismissive like others. That tone set him apart. So yeah, while he’s not totally innocent, it’s reasonable not to hang the whole thing around his neck. I don't think Correa should shoulder more blame than a few other more guilty in the entire situation.
  14. Right...Rojas...Left handed AA guy...22 years old...two maybes for a Louie. 😞
  15. Of all the trade...this one baffles me the most. They sent off a St. Paul kid who bled Twins colors for what...an MLB wannabe. Perkins said in the post game comments Varland was crushed. His life long dream was to be a Twin. This FO is as heartless as it gets.
  16. I heard TC Bear fled the scene for fear of being traded to Colorado. He does have a really smooth swing and Favley knows that.
  17. Walk off loss...again...fitting start to the new Twins era, wonder how long this Fal-Valley will last?
  18. Hard to believe Jorge Alcala would be a upgrade over 6 other pitchers in our bullpen.
  19. Tonkin pitching...game over in 9 pitches?
  20. As well as Jax...Falvey believes the bullpen is the easiest part of a team to fill...starters can be converted to relievers, FA signings, etc. They still sold low on Varland — a local guy, still under team control, who has shown flashes closer potential. Also, with both Varland and Jax, they could have easily made theses moves on the off season when market conditions were better.
  21. I'm not even willing to call it a lane. More like they drove this team into the ditch. The man behind the wheel is Falvey and he's holding the map upside down.
  22. Is the dumpster 🔥 finally out will Willi being the last to go? This seems so different than 2018, that was a housecleaning followed by the 2019 that won 100+ games. 2025? This feels like an evacuation. It might take 2026 and 2027 to win 100 games.
