  1. Attendance was 12,525... but looked more like 4000.
  2. Nor have they traded well, or signed FAs well. Other than that, Twins are a top notch organization.
  3. Paredes middle name is Exodus! I wonder if he’s going to need a 40-day wandering in the minors just to lower that ERA.
  4. We've possibly have seen the last of the Pride of Forest Lake....at least in MLB.
  5. Only the Twins...can begin a 10 game road trip 3-0. Only to turn it into a 4-6 skid....after Pirates sweep tomorrow.
  6. So......the Twins starting pitching is thin, the bullpen is weak, yet, some other team will certainly make room for SWR?
  7. If there is even a season. Both sides are apparently building massive war chest of cash to survive a strike. A team like the Twins, in developmental phase...gets hurt by the strike more than others.
  8. Even after sweeping Boston, I refused to jump on the "things are going better than expected bandwagon".... Twins are back to normal.
  9. I don’t know....whomever was swinging the bat as TC Bear in the MetroDome days could really smash.
  10. The player I always compare Lewis to is Bobby Witt Jr. Lewis #1 2017 draft Witt #2 2019 draft Both five-tool high school shortstops drafted at the top of their class.... but that were the comparison ends.
  11. I'm slow to jump on the bandwagon. My brains won't adapt to: "at least we aren't buried in the basement" mentality. But agreed, they are much playing better than expected.
  12. Biggest winner in the trade is Jax. His odds of winning a Championship skyrocketed by playing in TB.
  13. It was rather cryptic I admit... I saw the pattern of each team scoring and even number of run....then Gomez choked it...but hey....a sweep is sweet.
  14. Oh I agree totally....if it wasn't for those 3 eye seeing singles up the middle, he's likely back in Toledo by the weekend and never makes his way to Cooperstown either.... 😀
  15. Gomez broke the Matrix Fri. Twins win 8-6 ( +2) Sat. Twins win 4-2 ( +2) Sun. Twins win 6-4 ( +2)
  16. I am not tracking with you. Puckett went for 4 for 5 in his first game in major league baseball.... never returned to the miners , not even for a rehab. I was at the game in L.A.
  17. Agreed... but as Twins fans, we’re only ever one of three things: Delusional Depressed Distracted by memories of 1987 and 1991 because the present hurts too much.
  18. May Gabby make it impossible for the Twins to even think of sending him back to AAA.... like Puckett in '86. ( it was actually in '84)
  19. Not to mention they have let guys like Brent Headrick, Jeff Hoffman, and now Bowman walk out the door for absolutely nothing, yet they are fiercely protecting and keeping guys who are actively throwing gasoline on the fire: Luis García: He is sitting on a horrifying 10.38 ERA. Every time he takes the mound, it feels like a mandatory three-run rally for the opposition, yet his spot on the major league roster is apparently written in stone.
  20. Topa had one really poor outing that pretty much inflated his era.....not speaking in his defense.....but....I anticipate he will land somewhere else and possibly performs well....... It's how the Twins roll. Anyone remember this sad saga? 2009 The Twins designated Craig Breslow for assignment in May of 2009 to call up fellow left-handed reliever Sean Henn. The Oakland Athletics quickly snatched him up off waivers on May 20, 2009. It ended up being a tough loss for Minnesota's bullpen, as Breslow went on to have a fantastic run in Oakland, appearing in 60 games for the A's that season with a stellar 2.60 ERA. Henn pitched a handful ( 11) of innings and was DFA'd himself. Breslow pitched for 12 years in MLB...—not to mention picking up a World Series ring with the Red Sox in 2013.
