    It's MAYBE drizzling. All we ever hear about is how well the field handles water. Let's play some baseball.

    Plouffe has, what, one more year of team control? Assuming he continues to play well, offer him arbitration this coming off season. Let things play out next year with Sano, a potential position change, injuries etc. Then give him a QO after 2016, which he will probably turn down. If things have worked themselves out and you want him as part of your future, you make a fair multi-year offer. If having a $12-15M per year Plouffe is creating an unnecessary log-jam, then you watch him walk away and you pick up a 1st or 2nd round pick.

    I suspect if you asked just about any player if they'd rather stick around for the Double-A All Star Game, or play in the majors, they'd all choose majors. Not only is it, you know, the Majors, but it also represents a significantly larger paycheck. Posing the same question on a jump to Triple-A, you might get different answers.

    The way they are playing currently, they could clinch it well before that date. Of course, then we'd hear something about them playing in the All Star Game (which I don't necessarily disagree with)

    Good thing we have an 8 man bullpen. That's how many innings they on pace to pitch over the last week

    Offer an upside guy well under slot. If he takes it you've got extra money to spend on the competitive balance pick and rounds 3-5. If he doesn't take it, you'll have the 7th pick in what HAS to be a better draft in 2016.

    Today's games are listed as a "day/night doubleheader" I know most double-headers in the minors are 7 innings, but does the day/night aspect of this mean they are going to be 9 inning games?

    I'd rather have him pitch in the full game that's being played that day. Then, he would have started two games that were completed on the same day.

    Kepler could always get the "Polanco treatment" for a few days if the Twins find themselves in a injury/suspension pinch.

    Whether it translates to MLB from AA, what Walker is doing (and what he's done for 2 years) just screams 6th or 7th in the batting order hitter, to me. The kind of guy that just knows how to get guys across the plate and the kind of guy that will turn a 1 run inning into a 4 run inning in the blink of an eye. Will he strike out a bunch? Yes. But if he didn't strike out he'd probably be a MLB top 30 prospect and project to a cleanup hitter.
