    I'm not sure that I prefer a 5 game series over a typical 3 game series, but I know that I like that the Southern League said "EFF it, let's do 5 game series, even though everyone else does 3-gamers" Good for them

    Good news about this rain delay is that the Twins offense hasn't been affected at all. They are scoring runs at the exact same pace as they have the rest of the season. The Tigers offense, on the other hand, has really taken it on the chin.

    If Nolasco goes on the DL, I suspect someone like Thielbar will get called up, then sent down when the AAA starting pitcher gets called up.

    I'm not totally sure how contract insurance works, but I wonder if those couple crappy innings that Nolasco pitched cost the Twins a bunch of insurance money

    It's interesting that they do 5 game series. It's not like these teams are spread way out. The longest drive is probably Jackson, MS to Jacksonville, FL, which is about 8 hours.
